Or ouzo!

seems as if we need the TRUE stuff vs prob (not) what we get here

True licorice is also thought to have mild influences on sex hormones. It may either increase or decrease natural amounts of the female hormone, estrogen. Animal studies show that high doses of true licorice may prevent estrogen from attaching to estrogen receptors, thereby reducing estrogen’s effects. In other studies, true licorice seemed to speed up the body’s breakdown of estrogen, but only if blood levels of estrogen were already low. If estrogen levels were high, true licorice appeared to have the opposite effect. Taking true licorice may also alter testosterone levels in men. Much more research is needed to understand the possible hormonal effects of true licorice.

What can I say? I read half the thread, and I can tell you that I am well aware of the bigotry and racism that lurks around the boards, having me fellow citizens (Mexicans) been another of the bigots favorite targets. I personally enjoy wife of mahmoud's open comments and her pictures, and Jenn's craziness (in a good way). I learn from you MENA folks a lot about tradition, respect for elders, commitment and living one's life along a spiritual guideline. And I thank you for that. I also learn from our American friends, our European members, etc. I love reconnecting with my amigos in the Latin America forum. I love this place, even when it gets on my nerves.

Stereotyping is usually a form of hiding the little we know about other peoples, and the fear it causes us. I, for one, try to live by the "if yuo have nothing nice to say, don't say anything", specially when it comes to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious convictions, etc.

The world (the real one, not our virtual community) has enough hate being spread around. I don't want more of it.

Peace to you all my friends, Len. (F)

I am downright offended that I wasn't invited to the Arab Bashing thread! :P

Your always welcome if you bring either:

A: Black Licorice

B: Jelly Beans

C: Ozou (did I get that right?)

He wasn't invited because he's already exceeded his lifetime quota of Arab bashing.

Ouzo is a spirit from Greece - Arak would be more appropriate for MENA :)
