Now I have noved and I want to update my address. but I am confused by this on USCIS website regarding the AR11.

It says I must put in the change of a ddress withing 10 days of moving? When did this change? It's been more like approaching 3 weeks as I checked it a while back and it said 30 days.

Is this going to be a huge issue or what could happen?

June 14, 2007 Sent I130 to Vermont Service Center via USPS overnight

June 15, 2007 Confirmed on usps.com that VSC has received packet

June 29, 2007 Check cashed by USCIS (hey they opened my packet!)

June 30, 2007 Received NOA1

July 7, 2007 I130 touched

Aug. 24, 2007 I130 touched

Aug. 26, 2007 I130 touched (stop feeling up my husband's case and get him over here, yala!)

Oct. 1, 2007 On my way to Palestine

Oct. 5, 2007 I130 approved, transferrerd to NVC YAY!!!!

Oct. 16, 2007 Return to US, ranks one of the saddest day of my life:(

And even more....I clicked on I am a US citizen and I do not ahve a pending petition. My petition was approved and now is in NVC.

This is what it told me on the website.

"U.S. Citizens who do not have an application or petition pending with USCIS are only legally required to notify USCIS of a change of address if they have previously submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of someone who has become a permanent resident. If you have previously submitted a Form I-864 for someone who immigrated to the U.S., you must complete a Form I-865 within ten days of the completion of your move."

I have filled out I864 but my husband is not yet here or immigrated. he is still overseas.

Any ideas? Why is their info sooo misleading:( I'm already late filling it out as it is:(

So which is it? I report my address now or I do not need to report moving until he gets here on his visa? And then the rules take effect that we have to let them know?

NVC knows already but it's USCIS I'm confused about

If you are a US citizen, you don't fill out an AR-11 form. When your approved petition goes to NVC, change your address with NVC which will take care of it right away unlike USCIS.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
