Well as you all know we Interviewed on February 11th and was told he was approved and should have the visa in 2 to 3 weeks.

On Feb 19th we got our first DHL email alert (where we used the tracking number given to us by the embassy for the DHL package that will be used to mail his visa to sign p for email alerts when the package is in transit or scanned)

Then we received nothing again until March 2nd. Since March 2nd we have received an alert everyday and some days 2 alerts. However, the message has not changed and our visa is still in the embassy.

I emailed DHL and they said when it leaves the embassy it will not say shipment arrived at DHL facility in Cairo Egpyt anymore it will say in Transit first then it will say arrived local DHL facility in Cairo etc. But still says same as did on Interview day.

I call DOS and I send emails alot and we get the same answer......he is still in name checks and security checks (DOS Response) and He is in mandatory administrative processing (Embassy Response).

It is the beginning of our 6th week.....so I am asking for alot of prayers for this to finish. Our wedding day is suppose to be April 5th...although I was not dumb enough to pay for the place yet I am still hoping he will get here in time. So I need everyone to say prayers for us and mention us by name in those prayers......just for some extra heavenly power to touch this issue. :innocent:

"All things are possible through Christ the Lord"

Thanks in advance for your prayers.

Also thanks for all the concern...kindness....support......and encouragement you all provide on a daily basis.

I do not wish 6 months of AP like I am in on my worst enemy. Be happy its 6 weeks girl, I know how frustrating it is and to have to keep moving date after date to get to a date then to hear hes still in AP. BUT because name checks can be quick in some instances, I wish that your husband is cleared soon. Really, this is a most painful process and the first months are the worst, I don't want you to get to the point of numbness or acceptance haha...its gonna be all right. I will pray for you, he will get that call from the embassy for visa issuance notification in not time!

Tammy

You know I always love you (L)

AP: Over 1 year.

I always include you and Lynn as well as the many others who wait in my prayers. Delayed, but not denied, Cheryl. Trust in the Almighty and keep your eyes on Him and not your situation.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I know others including you have waited much longer......and I to would never wish for anyone to have to wait. I always wish for everyone to have a quick process. I pray for you every night that yours will end soon and the visa will be issued.

But as God says....you have not because you ask not. It does not mean I will get everything I ask for.....because he has a plan for all things. But the power of prayer can cause miracles to happen if you truly believe.......he is God and is cabable of all things. SO it definitely does not hurt our case to place our names on the prayer request list. And the more people you have praying for the same thing helps even more.

I am grateful it has only been six weeks and I am grateful we got this far so quickly. But it never hurts to ask. The worse thing that can happen is we do not get our request.

I Love you and all my visa journey family also and will continue to bring your name and everyone who is waiting to the Lord each night for a quick resolution. I truly wish your journey ends soon with visa in hand.

We're still waiting on the embassy to fix their printers so my fiancee can get her visa. That is very frustrating, and it will probably only delay our togetherness about 8/9 days.. I can only imagine how hard this must be for you.

I will keep you in my prayers for a quick resolution to these visa delays, and also for a happy marriage ahead.

Keep the faith. :)

i wonder when the clean version of hell (USA embassy in Cairo ) will stop that retarded game

if you check time time to anyone here from any country but Egypt you will find out they send the visa in 2 or 3 days after the interview

so what the heck is going on at the USA embassy in Cairo?

i want to figure out .i think they don't like Egyptians ??!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Means package left embassy on its way to you.....Although since you just had interview it seems a little early. You can copy and paste your DHL alert to me and I will look at it if you want to make sure. Are you sure it said transit and not arrived at DHL facility Cairo? It always says arrived at DHL facility Cairo from the day of the Interview. Anyway.....if it is that is Great News.

Okay Melinda I got your message and saw the DHL alert.....so I wanted to post my answer to you here also so other people will understand.

Well that looks like the normal message you will get everytime the embassy touches your package. For Example here is mine:

Notification for when my package is In transit for March 17 2008/ 1:15 PM.

The thing you are looking for to change is the event category. For example here is mine for today:

EVENT CATEGORY

March 17 2008 1:15 PM - Arrived at DHL facility - Cairo,Egypt

The bold part is what should change when your package is mailed it should say picked up, in transit etc.

Hope this helps you. Good Luck to all!!!

Cheryl, you're stuck in AP

Be aware that men from middle eastern countries have to undergo AP. That can takes weeks or months.

My husband had his interview December 11 and his AP was finished two weeks ago. Now his case is back at the Embassy and being examined again by the head officer (who asked for my husband's CV only now - not at the interview, what a bunch of idiots!).

It's nerve-wracking because if the officers take too long reviewing the case, the AP checks expire and they will have to be redone. Which means back to the Department of State and more months waiting.

Well we are atleast getting the email alerts every day from DHL means they are working on the file. I have called DOS and emailed the embassy and DOS tells me they are the rountine name and security checks that get done on everyone......it just takes longer for some. I pray it is the truth and it willnot end up being months and months of AP......But all I can do is wait.....and pray.....and put my faith in God that it will end soon with visa in hand.

HUGS
