Hi All

I'm sure this question has been asked many times. I'm new to this section of VJ. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once we have moved to the US, I know the cost of filing the AOS for myself is $1,010. From what I have read, would the fee for filing the AOS for my daughter be $930 as she is 14? Does she need to have the biometrics done as well?

I'm trying to set money aside for all these fees so it won't be a total strain on our limited income until I get to work.

Thanks

Yes, biometrics are integral to the green card. It has the picture and a fingerprint.

since your daughter is 14 yrs old, pretty sure you also have to pay the $80 biometrics fee.

Filing Fee :

$930 plus a biometrics fee of $80; the fee total is $1,010. Exceptions listed below. There is no fee for applicants who are filing Form I-485 based on having been admitted to the United States as a refugee. Applicants 79 years of age or older are not charged a biometric fee; the fee total is $930. Applicants under 14 years of age: - Filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $600 - Not filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $930
