Hi people. Before any one says to look it all up, I have. The search here doesnt turn up the greatest results. I have tried to cross check with the filing fee's at the uscis web site but I cant find some forms and not sure all all the ones needed at certain stages.

First off what is the total cost of a K3, just the forms needed to get her here?

Then, after getting my wife here, her change of status, eos and what other else we are going to have to do?

What is the cost of a CR1?

I am just asking for the forms, not cost of travel or stays. Thank you for your time to answer these questions.

I don't know that the anwer is posted somewhere. To answer your question, somebody would have to carefully study the guides to make sure just which forms and fees apply to each visa path and add them up. Why don't you do that? Start with the guides and lay it out for yourself.

I think you'll find the difference through to the green card is a few hundred dollars. Last time I went through the excercise, it seems like it was about $800 more for the K3 path.

Does lost income from waiting to obtain employment count in your scenario?

It's a good question but why do you insist somebody else do the homework for you?

This is really a perfect opportunity for you to learn the process. Surely you saw that the guides give you steps beyond the initial filing. Surely you're aware the K3 requires a status adjustment after arrival. Surely you know there are visa fees in addition to the form filing fees.

Correction on the CR1 side you pay $70 to process the I-864. You've put in very little effort on this.

I know which forms required fees but it took me two google searches and 5 minutes work to determine the current difference in fees is $671, assuming US entry would take place before the two-year anniversary of the marriage.

Getting here is cheaper with K3. Getting here and obtaining a green card is cheaper with CR1.

I am working on this, geeze give a newb a break will yea  . I am reading and cross checking....what i posted was what I got from the uscis web site on my first look and will add more as I learn everything.

I am trying to get this information as I am curious just how much I will be costing myself going the K3 route, I imangine many people wonder what the total cost is for each visa. I know the K3 is much faster in the short term...but more expensive in the long term. The CR1 is slower but cheaper....this might matter to some peopole who want their wife/husband here sooner and deal with the added cost at a later date, not everyone is rich.

But thank you for what you had added.

I suspect this is important to most people going through the process.

Not much faster anymore, may be only a couple of months difference, really depends upon which country you are in.

at least I feel, Cr-1/Ir-1 is much a better route

Costs around 855 dollars and can work and travel as soon as you enter US

The K3 visa is less expensive than the CR1/IR1 to get to the US, but it is the most expensive route to get a green card since the beneficiary has to apply for AOS once he/she gets here. That alone costs $1,010.
