This year we will be going to a Good Friday service, then church on Easter Sunday, then we will be helping with an Easter Egg hunt at the local community centre that we volunteer at.

If I was home, it would be probably the same, with the addition of a sunrise service/breakfast and a big family meal (usually ham with the fixin's) with my folks. :)

That sounds like a really nice and full weekend! Have fun!

We will! The community easter egg hunt is usually a hoot, this will be the third year we've done it and it's way too much fun :)

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

My mother makes a so-called Passover Ham. She's a bad Jew.

I'm not sure if we'll be doing anything for Easter this year 'cuz the husband and I are going to Tucson for a wedding on Saturday. I'm sure we'll be in rough shape Sunday, but we could be guilted into taking Ma out for dinner.

My dad had a great sense of humor and did the Easter basket thing basically until we (my siblings and step-siblings) were in college. That is, he'd buy Easter baskets, line them up on the doorstep, ring the bell, and then come back in through the back door. He'd put random stuff in the baskets, like men's dress socks, a compass, and, one year, beer.

Family dinner on Sunday (well, lunch I guess but we call it dinner). Not sure what dead animal will be featured - lamb maybe? I might go to church service as my sister usually sings in the choir.

In Brazil a few weeks before Easter they start decorating every supermarket. They have an entire isle with huge chocolate eggs, all flavors.

and then on easter morning parents hide the chocolate eggs, usually a whole bunch of eggs and candies inside a huge basket, they hide somewhere in the house, or the backyard and the kids have to go find them and overdose on chocolate for a week.
