Pregnancy Forum in General Discussion Area?

Hey everyone, I was just thinking.... wouldn't it be nice if there was a Pregnancy Forum? That way all questions and "expecting" notices could be organized and referenced quickly? I guess we could have a general health forum with pregnancy as a sub-topic.

Anyone else on board here? Or is it better to have it here for more attention?

OOooh like "this is a place we can post discussions about the kiddies of international unions, which were helped to create by the love an support of VJ"? :)

That sounds like a great idea, actually! :)(F)

No.

If we have a pregnancy forum we'll also need a 'adjustment depression' forum and a 'post partum depression' forum and a 'i miss my spouse/fiance(e)' forum and ....

I know there are several threads about this already, but I was suggesting an actual forum that you could click on that would have general health related things, to include pregnancy.

VisaJourney.com>General Discussion Area>Health>Pregnancy>Expecting (etc., etc.)

Maybe all the pregnant people could find a specific pregnancy-based website which they could agree on, and move the discussion there. There will also be others who can share more info in a specific place. This is, after all, an immigration forum.

Here's a list of some you could try:

So it's okay to post 10,000 religous debates, bizarre and disturbing news stories, football threads, etc, etc but don't post a pregnancy thread in an "immigration" forum???

Kiki, it's not the thread. The question was "Pregnancy Forum in General Discussion Area?".

I can just see it now; we get a Pregnancy sub-forum, then it'll be "Can we have an Animals sub-forum?" followed by "Can we have a sub-forum for those of us who met our fiance(e) online?".....

I just don't think it's a necessary part of VisaJourney when there are a whole host of other websites out there DEDICATED to Pregnancy.

I also think I have PMS, so forgive me if I come across as a little harsh.

I don't see a need for a 'pregnancy forum'.....there is a stong thread already on the go....those folks seems perfectly happy with it....

Just as the suggestion has been made in the past for political or debate type forums, a pregnancy forum isn't necessary. We are in Off-Topic here....where anything goes and I'm sure with the number of people preggers or interested in the thread, the Baby Corner one won't get lost.

I don't think you come across harsh at all. I know I had some serious issues with seeing certain people post elaborately about their pregnancy and tests and what not, right after a miscarriage but I'm over it now. I just skip the pregnancy threads heh.

OK everyone, so I guess the baby corner is good enough.

I think the pregnancy and children etc. forum does warrant a little more individual attention here on VJ because every child born to us is a little different than the children on pregnancy websites. We have special circumstances. Animal forums, political forums etc. aren't affected the same way children between foreign spouses/USCs are.

Good luck to all with little tykes now, and those trying!

Sorry CL, I misread that and thought you wanted us to move the enitre discussion off the board.

Pregnancy hormones meet PMS hormones...LOL.

Anyhow, nice thought Slim, but guess the concensus is that it's not needed :)

I agree with this completely.
