Phone Records - Ghana Embassy

For all you folks going thru Ghana, phone records don't seem to cut it as proof of relationship. When Inusah went for his interview the CO said that the phone records do not prove that we talked.

1. We use pingo.com

2. I printed the logs which show my phone calling his phone and since I have his number on speed dial his name is on my call sheets as well.

Apparently that's not enough. I don't know why

omg.. why in the world are they doing that.. do you know that they didn't wanna see any of my fiance's information like the email, chats and phone calls.. that doesn't make any sense at all.. oh i pray all goes well in june... that really sucks...

That is ridiculous ! They are nuts. I have about 500 pieces of emails and phone records I would just love to dump on their desk when our time comes.

Do they think you spend the money on the phone calls just for kicks ?

WOW....THAT MAKES ME SO WORRIED! I USE A CALLING CARD THROUGH CALLINGCARDS.COM WHICH USES AN 800# TO MAKE CALLS. SINCE THE CALLS ARE SO CHEAP, I USUALLY HAVE KAMAL FLASH ME AND THAN CALL HIM BACK OR CALL HIM WHENEVER.

DO YOU THINK THEY WILL DISCOUNT THAT?

We don't really e-mail each other but we suprsingly had a bunch that were dated pretty well through our relationship. I had to copy these two sided because there were so many pages. I even included arguments we had over e-mail. I also sent our IMs, (way too many trees were killed there) and the CO read through all of them. So, I think that having those helped because I know we talked about different things in the e-mails and IMs like conversations he had with my sisters, an instance when he called my parents, about me e-mailing his brother, about him giving me messages to give to my friends, and so forth.

I just think that if we didn't have any of that, the CO would not have been convinced with just the phone records.

WHY ARE THEY BEING SO DIFFICULT WITH A RELATIONSHIO THAT THEY FEEL IS CLEARLY VALID?

Every week, my husband and I send a greeting card to each other via snail mail. It is not something we agreed on but it is something extra that we do aside from email, e-greeting cards, IM and phone calls. Receiving a "real" greeting card is different from e-greeting card. I feel that it's more personalised and I cried everytime I read the words that my husband wrote. And every now and then, hubby will write a love letter and send it via snail mail.

I have read somewhere that the officer are more interested in snail mail rather than e-mail print out.

In a way, I am lucky as Malaysia have realiable postal service and I feel bad for those who are unable to depend on their postal service. Perhaps you guys can start now and few is better than nothing.

I am so sorry that you have to wait until June for a second interview, i know how it feels when they say more evidence... Your in my prayers, but I do believe the next one will be successful. God bless.

If you IM on yahoo or msn, try and make a print out of your IM messages on daily basis. You can get that if you activated your message archive which saves all your daily conversations on the im. It kind of gives the time and date and everything talked on, and can show voice communications too. You may try that out as a back up evidence. Cheers.
