Lotofluck VJers!!!!!

When I joined this forum, I picked a wrong name "lotofpatience". It should have been "hardlypatience"

USCIS is working hard or hardly to approve the petitions ???

Just a thought... Since there was a fee hike in July 30 2007, so many filers came in to USCIS before that deadline. Does that mean petitioners wanted to actually file after July 2007 (eg: Aug/Sep/Oct 2007) acted earlier, reduced the no. of applications in those subsequent months ???

You've got a good point there .... but surely that would mean as they are now over the backlog and onto August petitions and onwards we'd be getting the the approvals fast and furiously? ...... however, I still think that may happen, but it does seems to be taking them a little long to get on with the flood.

I reckon, once the service centres slow down with the 'highly important' fiances and their K1's, we'll see some pretty good action and not the random dribble we've been seeing till now.

..... failing that, we'll all have to practice meditating and having 'out of body experiences' and then we can just go and approve our own files during the night, when the USCIS people are asleep ..... :jest:

Applicant (A) and USCIS (U) conversation

After 10 minutes wait that includes many key pressings, connected to a customer service rep.

U) This is xxx, badge# yyy.

U) Is it related with N-400 ? A) No

U) Ok, what application ? A) I-130

U) How may I help you? A) I would like to know the status of my I-130

U) We received your application on 08/10/2007. It will take another 6 months to complete the process

A) Why, website shows it is already 08/19/2007.

U) Some ####### IT guys designed it, that's why.

A) ok, then what is the current processing time?

U) it is 07/2007.

A) Then why you need 6 months time to approve my case.

U) We need to sleep at office for some time, that's why.

A) Can't you sleep at home and continue the work at office ?

U) No, my wife doesn't allow me to sleep at home.

A) You are moron :crying:

U) Ok, any other questions ?

A) My current question is not answered well, so I don't have another question.

Phone hangs up...

Now applicant thinks he is the biggest fool in the world !!!

Moral: Never call to intelligent people.

There is .... and there isn't .... if Hubby was back in Iraq (again) not knowing if he's going survive the next 5 minutes, then yes .... deployment equals military expedite.

But as he's back in the US and safe for 5 minutes, then, no.

They don't even care about the fact he's already been there twice and gone through horror for his country .... I'm just pleased he's in one piece .... I'd rather have a delay in approval, than have to go through him being deployed again ... an expedite would be nice, but to sit alone in a foreign country waiting to see if my Husband might arrive home in a bag (like some of his friends) .... would not be cool.

My heart goes out to all the spouses on here who's SO's are deployed .... it's hell.

An I-130 petitioner (who has not read the receipt notice properly) got an (800) number from somewhere. He was waiting for many months for his approval, and finally decided to call USCIS customer service number.

He dialed the 800 number he got, but he didn't know that it was Department of Transporation number and this was his first call to the USCIS too, unfortunately.

Petitioner (P) and DOT rep ®

P) Hi, this is xxx.

R) Hello, how may I help you ?

P) First of all, thanks for getting you online. My friends told me it would take longer time to get a customer rep

R) Well, we do provide best services to our customers.

P) I would like to enquire I-130

R) (Little confused), normally we track I-84, I-95 etc.

P) Ok, do you have any info about I-130 ?

R) Let me see. After couple of seconds. Yes, there is one database where we have I-130

P) How long it would take to reach my destination ?

R) Based on the current traffic, 3 hours delay is there.

P) (Little confused). My friends told me it would take couple of months :-)

R) Are you walking to take that long ?

P) No, I am sitting on a seat and calling you.

R) (Rep thought, he sits on a car and ringing from his cell). Then couple of hours only.

P) Can I believe it ?

R) Of course.

P) Thanks a lot and keeps the receiver down.

Immediately, he posted at VJ to announce that his I-130 appoved.

First of all, it is not ME.

Second of all, if you see this type of posting, it may not be just typo, it could be the lack of immigration literacy.

Enjoy!

Any Nov/Dec 2007 I-130 approvals from Vermont Service Center ???

USCIS needs to be outsourced... Also, need to terminate all the USCIS customer service representatives. Government is unnecessarily paying to these dumb people. They know only how to read the USCIS computer screen and vomit the same. I don't know what's their actual duty ?

After cutting down those jobs, recruit the real officers who actually do the application processing. Some of the customer reps even do not know how to behave to the customers...

KipandSarahJayne, this is a nice posting !

If their pay is performance based, they wouldn't take anything to home, and need some part-time job to survive

Anyway, all these comes out of frustration. Hope all service centers will speed up !!!

Another joke for a USCIS officer...

A USCIS officer ( O ) was sleeping with her husband ( H ) at home. Middle of the sleep, O started dreaming.

O) Hurray, I did fantastic job today and started laughing during the sleep

During this time, Husband just woke up and started listening her voice.

O) I am proud that I managed to touch so many of them today

H) (Little confused), but asked to her, what do you mean ?

O) (Still sleeping), replied: Many of my colleagues told me they are touching many of them every day. Now I also started that.

H) So, do you get satisfaction by doing this ?

O) Yeah, it is real pleasure. If I touch more, I get more pleasure.

H) Do you think it is good, we are a good family, aren't we ?

O) If I touch more, I'll earn more (she actually intended performance based pay!)

H) Why do I need your money by doing this ?

O) We have kids education, mortgage, auto loan etc, so we need to earn more.

H) Ok, tell me more

O) All those are just feeling-less objects (she mentioned papers!)

H) Then...

O) I have to do more work, they just sit idle

H) I know you have that capability

O) If I do overtime, it would be even nicer, what do you think ?

The dream goes like that...

Just enjoy!
