Just a quick question. On the I-134 support form, they ask for the employers to give a statement of employment. Plus, the last few pay stubs. In addition to the bank statements. Question is; will they be requesting a copy of my tax return, at a future time? And if so, do I give them the one filed this year or the one for fiscal 2004? Or should I just include it with the I-134?

Thanks.

We went through Morocco and the consulate there requested 3 years of tax returns. When we filed for AOS, with the I864 we had to again give them the 3 years of tax returns. I would think at this time if you file any tax returns, they would include 2005. I'm sure someone will be along after me to answer you too.

The instructions for the I-134 state that tax returns are only required if you are self employed. But check with others going through China to see if they require them.

At AOS, you only need provide the most recent tax return. The rules changed from the last 3 years taxes to this current procedure on Nov. 2005.

rebeccajo,

Yes, but I-134 and it's attachments are only 1 of several items of financial information that may be requested by a consulate to determine if a visa applicant meets the public charge provisions of the law.

Tax returns are another very commonly requested item.
