Only docs needing an English translation are certificates like birth cert, etc..

For USCIS the translation can be done by anyone fluent in both languages, and does not need to be a professional.

Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

Signature_________________________________

Date Typed Name

Address

This is not the case for the consulate though.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Hi, someone know if we need the translate all the documents for interview or in the future in US??? Please tell me if is neccesary. Thank u

BUENO YO TE CONTARE QUE YA TENGO MI RESIDENCIA Y EL UNICO DOCUMENTO QUE TRAJE TRADUCIDO Y CERTIFIADO POR EL MINISTERIO DE RELACIONES EXTERIORES FUE MI PARTIDA DE NACIMIENTO.

PERO OJO QUE LA TRADUCCION TIENE QUE SER UNA TRADUCCION OFICIAL EN LA PUERTA DEL MINISTERIO DE RELACIONES EXTERIORES ENCUENTRAS MUCHOS TRADUCCTORES PERO NO SON RECONOCIDOS POR EL MINISTERIO SI LLEVAS UNA TRADUCCION DE ESAS PIERDES TU PLATA PORQUE LA GENTE DEL MINISTERIO NO TE LA LEGALIZA.

ENTRA AL LOBBY DEL MINISTERIO Y AHI EN LA PIZARRA ESTAN LOS NOMBRES Y DIRECCIONES DE LOS TRADUCCTORES AUTORIZADOS LA MAYORIA QUEDAN POR LA ZONA CERCA AL DIARIO EL COMERCIO.

I just did the birth certificates and wedding/divorce certificate. I contacted the foreign language department at our local university and a professor did it for me and wrote the letter. She was fairly quick and cheap. If you need her information just let me know.

For your Interview they can be in Spanish. The embassy says English or the local language. In the future is when you will need the translations.
