It appears to me that the US Embassy in Uzbekistan is very out of order.

The Us ambassador is letting the Uzbeks run his consulate. My Fiance is going through Hell

trying to get everything just right, She had her appointment and after arriving,,, my divorce cocument suddenly became unacceptable, It was a copy of the original and IT was certified, So I had to send the Orginal for proof, Well then she makes it to the interview and the papers we had gotten written up by a lawyer was not what the embassy wanted. It appears that when your fiance has a child the father of the child has to appear in person at the embassy to prove that it is ok for him to leave. The Uzbek Lawyer said this was the first time his certified document had been rejected, So now we are at the point of getting the father to the embassy Tuesday, And then we will have to make another appointment for the interview again, This will make 5 times My fiance has been to the embassy and each time she is treated like ####. The lady consulars run the ladies through this like it is a crime to be in live with an American. I hope and pray that we are in each others arms before long, I will be so glad to get her out of this. And thanks to our Ambassador he is letting this go on. Is there any one else having this trouble .

Thanks

Dear Burney:

I am pissed at the consulate I am dealing with too!

December 11th my husband had his interview at the US Consulate in Abu Dhabi. His case went into Administrative Processing at the DOS. It was approved and sent back to the Consulate. We see on their website that my husband's number is there and confirmed verbally over the phone he was to go and pick up his visa. For my husband, this requires buying an airline ticket and getting a UAE tourist visa (my husband is from Iran and must go US Embassy in UAE). Two days later, the Embassy calls my husband to say, "don't come, email us your cv with personal references instead."

#######??

Why ask now for a CV and references when they had the opportunity to get it at the initial interview?

Now we are stuck waiting for those jokers at the Embassy to take their fingers out of their backsides.

Additionally, the people working at the Embassy are locals who don't have a clue telephone etiquette or professionalism.
