this is for November 2007 - VSC I-130 filers

Hi everyone. i have a question for all the VJ members whose filing date is Nov. 16th 2007 or around that date and sent it to Vermont Service Center. Has anyone heard back about your I-130 update? when do you think, our I-130 will be approved by? i also have an another question, if someone can help me. I created my timeline, and how do i create a processing/estimate stats on my timeline? someone please help me. i would really appreciate it.

Hi there.

We filed an I-130 on Nov. 19, but it was to Nebraska and then, of course, forwarded to California - so about the same date, but not the same Service Centre. The "Estimate" the system is giving me right now says "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as July 14, 2008" But the recent backlog has likely skewed the stats, so it's hard to know an exact estimate. However, I'm pretty sure it will be several months at the very least.

If you have filled out your timeline, the system should automatically calculate the Estimates at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be happening for you. Perhaps someone with more "technical expertise" can offer some advice.

We just try and remain positive and patient.

But, there doesn't seem to be many November filers on here, does there??

Hi,

My I-130 is at VSC and was received by USCIS on Nov. 13. After receiving the I-130 NOA1 near the end of January, I sent in my I-129F. Both applications were last touched on Feb. 24. As far as my VJ timeline goes, it states: “Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as May 2, 2008.” I also don’t know why an estimate doesn’t automatically appear on your timeline, Gaurav. Maybe someone else knows how to fix that. (Incidentally, an estimate does not appear for my I-129F). I’m not sure how much credence to give to these estimated dates though. When USCIS updates their processing times on their website probably sometime this week, we should get a better picture of where VSC stands. Let’s keep each other updated. Good luck to all!

....you also only mention an I-130...have you also (or will you) sent an I-129F for a K3? Just wondering, because if not, and you will only be filing for a CR1 then the VJ'ers on the CR1/IR1 forum may have more accurate estimates on when your petition may be approved.

Gaurav the problem on your timeline is that you have

wrong type of application type, you have other, it should be IR-1 / CR-1 Visa

correct that and also on the service center you have to select Vermont Service Center

then you will have the estimate on when it will be adjudicated ( Remember this is an estimate is not an actual date

and can be before or after the estimated date)
