I'm getting stressed out reading about so many early approvals while my case sits by untouched. I don;t think i'm doing myself (or my sanity) any favours by reading everyones updates.

I am happy for all of you who have been approved, and equally dismayed for those at CSC who seem to be in for a long wait....but it's disheartening to see so many people who filed after me get approved.

Before people start to think i'm bitter - i'm going to take a little break from VJ. I'll be back once I get my NOA2, and in the meantime I wish everyone all the luck in the world and lots of best wishes.

Hugs........i'll be back. Hopefully a little more sane..

Sometimes the best thing to do is walk away for awhile. But rather than walk away from the entire community, let me just suggest you walk away from the K-1 progress reports forum for awhile. This forum was created for people going through exactly what you're going through--so the progress reports could be isolated off into a section by themselves, allowing people some breathing space from seeing the approvals, delays, and general emotional roller coaster that the initial filing brings with it.

The regional forums are a lot of fun, you might want to hang there for awhile.

Best of luck to you!

It´s been like a month and a half since you sent your petition  I don´t think it´s time to worry too much about it yet. I know people keep getting approved so fast these days (2-3 months). Last year USCIS was trying to drive us insane. There were lotsa people who never even got NOA1 until 4 months from sending the petition. And NOA2? That was just a far away dream. 6-8 months of waiting for most of us yikes  At that point we were cheering for every single approval and were glad if whoever was approved (people after us, before us, around us, everyone). In September, VSC like almost completely stopped approving all K1 visas and noone was getting approved for a while at all. Don´t wish for anyone to have to go through that again.

Don´t give up that easily  Keep your head up and stay positive :):dance::dance:

Yeah, I can relate to the stresses this process can cause. And seeing approvals for people who filed after you can make you crazy at times, but.....you only filed about 5 weeks ago. You haven't really waited too long yet. You should try to stay optimistic and thankful that you don't have to wait 4-5 months or more like summer filers. I think you're very lucky if you receive your NOA2 within 3 months. So, stay strong. Keep your chin up. It could be soooo much worse, but its not.

And I mean no offense to anyone by saying this....but, it kinda makes me chuckle when people complain about the wait or unfair order of approvals when they've only waited a matter of weeks. I would have chewed my left arm off to have VSC moving as quickly as it is now. (ok, maybe not chewed my arm off). How would these people survive if they had to wait 4,5,6 months like so many others???

I totally agree!! And no offence either but seriously......think of some back in August/September last year who took 4 months for their checks to be cashed and NOA1! My NOA2 was about 5 months, so I don't think we should panic over 5 weeks yet!

Obviously it's a little frustrating to see 20-30 day approvals from others around you (believe me, I'm more than a little jealous!) but put it in perspective, a few months and you'll be with your SO forever. I would think it's worth it! :D

I agree.

Watching all you folks wait so long last year certainly helps put my wait to even file now into perspective!

I'm just so happy to see Vermont flying now and at least some life out of California.

Hopefully I can hold onto that once we've filed and we are in the 'waiting room' with the rest of you. Knowing we wont have to endure what many of you folks did will certainly help us wait. ;)
