I-130 Question #22

Do we need to fill out the second part of question #22, which consular office abroad will your relative apply for a visa at? Question #22 seems to indicate it is only for relatives already living in the U.S., but the second half seems to imply that you should fill in the consular office (Tokyo, Japan) that you will apply at. For DCF filers, do we need to fill this box in?

Thanks,

John

we put n/a in the first part, and nothing in the second part. But i don't suppose it would hurt to put in the country and consular office nearest to you, especially if there are a few in the country.

You need to fill out the appropriate Embassy/Consulate where the visa applicant will go for the interview. Never leave anything blank. If something does not apply to you write "N/A" or if you don't have (like social security number, children, etc) what they ask for write "None."
