Hey Everyone!

I know it has been a long time! I have been catching up with Nana :lol: anyhow, things have been good, and Nana is still adjusting. It has been about 5 months since he arrived and we are really enjoying each other. It's still a cultural adjustment for Nana in soooo many ways, but he is coming along well. It has been rough for him because he wasn't authorized to work since we took the k-3 route. FINALLY TODAY, we got the Employment authorization card in the mail today! whew! So my husband can officially get a job! The hunt is officially on! He is very traditional and had a very hard time not being able to work, and sometimes he would get so sad because of it, but today he seems like a new man! I wanted to share the good news. I have been off an on every now and then and I see that there have been a lot of approvals lately! I hope there will continue to be many more!

Anyhow, keep us in your prayers, especially now that the job hunt is on with this dwindling economy :blink:

8/20/07- Medical (Part I- Vaccinations/ Physical)

8/28/07- Medical (Part II- X-Rays/ Blood Work)

9/12/07- Picked up Medical Results

9/13/07- SUCESSFUL K-3 INTERVIEW!!!!!!

9/21/07- PICK UP VISA!!!

10/7/07- POE=JFK

10/30/07- EAD application received at Vermont Service Center

3/10/08- FINALLY APPROVED AFTER 4 MONTHS! (THANK GOD!)

3/15/08- CARD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL!!!

5/30/08 My husband started working!

3/12/09- Mailed out AOS papers

7/15/09-Initial interview in NYC = Success!!!

7/25/09- received 10 year green card in the mail! (YES!)

Thanks for the update! Congrats on EAD. It's probably just as hard to get the EAD at JFK and then have to stop working when it expires. Thank goodness you made it through that with grace. It seems that a lot of relationships suffer during that period. I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. Good Luck Nana with your job search! Keep the faith!

Called USCIS 4/1/2009 told no status change and case not yet reviewed from RFE request.
