I haven't filed anything yet, but as far as I understand, the DS-230 is the immigration visa application itself. Therefore, the beneficiary has to be the one to sign, not the USC. Doesn't matter who the agent is, it's the foreign spouse who is applying for an immigration visa.

She has to sign the document even tho you have filled it out for her because she is the one immigrating to the US. The DS-230 . It is a legal document. Without her signature the US government will be unable allow her into the US. The Applicant (her) is responsible for the imformation contained in the DS-230. If fraud is discovered, her signature on the DS-230 will used in the case against her in US Courts as she has signed the DS-230 to immigrate and swore that all info in it is true and correct.

For most people it's just a signature to complete their journey so they can be with the one they love.

It still her responsibility to get all her paper work send to you in order for it to complete.

you cannot sign it because you are not an immigrant. so the agent part is fast mailing that all.
