I had an infopass appointment in Denver this week for a different issue (I-751). I happened to pick up a N-400 application (I will be filing soon) and the instructions say you need to include a copy of all pages of my passport. Did anyone do that?

I just got a new passport a few months ago so Im wondering if I should include copies of all pages from both passports. Any ideas?

I-751 Application

Jan 9, 2007: Application for removal of conditions received at NSC.

April 1, 2008: Case transferred to CSC

April 9, 2008: Approved!!!! Card is on its way.

April 15, 2008: Received card in the mail. YAY!!!

N-400 Citizenship Application

Mar 19, 2008: Mailed in N-400 Application

Mar 27, 2008: Check cashed

Mar 31, 2008: Received NOA1. Priority Date March 21, 2008

Apr 4, 2008: Received Biometrics Appointment letter

Apr 16, 2008: Biometrics Appointment

Jun 6, 2008: Received Interview letter

July 14, 2008: Citizenship Interview. Passed. Awaiting oath ceremony date.

Wow.....thank you for answering this. I'm about ready to renew Andre's passport before we file for naturalization.

Yeah, where does it say that? We didn't and they cashed our check. I guess they will look at the interview if they need to.

Is the application and instructions you picked up, different than the one you download online? Because it doesn't say that on the instructions to the actual N-400, nor does it say it in the PDF Guide.

Yea I was a little suprised too as I have never seen this requirement before in all the stuff I have downloaded. It was written on an info sheet attached to the application, not within the instructions which are part of the application.

Check out page 51 in the USCIS Guide to Naturalization. www.uscis.gov/files/article/M-476.pdf

There is no mention of submitting copies of passports. You must take all passports with you to the interview.

A copy of the USC spouse's passport must be sent OR other proof such as birth certificate. See page 39.

Yeah, don't be nervous. It's not in the directions online, the original poster got it in person. So if you didn't get it in person, you'd never see the instructions they are talking about. The document checklist is on page 47 of that guide, and does not include copies of passports (not that I think it will hurt the original poster to have included them). Just bring your passport to the interview.

OMG, I downloaded the instruction online and it does not mention anything about copies of passport pages, thus I did not send anything about it except my husband's US passport copy. They've already informed me for finger print so I guess they accepted my application.

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!

I have just finished my application and after reading everything I could find, that is the only place I saw a mention of passport pages. It is kinda messed up!!
