Can't read case number

Hi,

I recently was able to view the image of the check that USCIS cashed for the I-130 I submitted. There is a case number on the back of the check image. However, the print is so minute and resolution so bad that I am having trouble reading all the numbers clearly. I think I have all the numbers down now after downloading the image, enhancing it, zooming in / out, sharpness tool, brightness/contrast/hue adjustment, etc. Sadly enough, when I go to the USCIS website to track the status of my case, it ain't there. They can't seem to find my case :(

Do you guys know whether the case number on the back of the check is the number that they will use in reality when processing my I-130? Meaning, the number on the back, is it just like a placeholder for the 'real' case number.

Yes, it is the correct case number. Sometimes USCIS is delayed in entering the case number into the online system. It was 2 months before we could check my hubby's AOS, EAD, & AP. During the K1 process his case # was immediately available online. Hope it doesn't take you too long to get in the system.

**mmm, not necessarily.

I just went through this yesterday. The check image numbers were correct except for the

last digit. What do I mean? The image read "XXXX1" whereas the actual physical NOA-1

read, "XXXX2".

When I put the check image number in, nothing appeared. However the mailed out NOA-1

entered yielded our case. Don't know if we're an isolated case but I just wanted to put it

out there.

Good luck!

The was the same for me too. When my check was cashed the last number was different from when I received my NOA-1. On my check the last number was a 5 but when I received my NOA1 the last number was a 6.
