lost NOA2?? or never received??

Believe it or not, it appears as though we never received the NOA2. We got the NOA1 the end of July 2005 then two months later received the letter saying that our approved case had been received by the National Visa Center. She had no problem getting her visa at the consulate in her home country and entered the US with no problem. Now we're trying to adjust her status and realizing that we never received the NOA2. A friend says that a copy of the visa itself will suffice. Or are we really looking at requesting a copy of the NOA2, which I hear can take months?

***UPDATE***

Oh man. I just checked our case status on the uscis website, something I never bothered to do before. ON SEPT 22, 2005 THE NOA2 WAS RETURNED TO LINCOLN, NE, AS **UNDELIVERABLE**. WE NEVER FRICKIN'

GOT THE NOA2!!!! THE FIRST ONE ARRIVED FINE!!!! HOW COULD THE 2ND ONE BE UNDELIVERABLE??????

Next step supposedly is to call tomorrow and talk to them about the address so that it can be re-sent. This is unbelievable.

You need the approval NOA when filing the I-485. You can get a replacement but it will cost.
