Case complete at NVC

just find out that my case was complete yesterday.

can anyone tell me how long does it take for the mail to send out after the case is complete.

i want to know so i can track it through DHL

NVC tends to send cases out the befining of every week.

NOTE: All DHL will tell you is that the case made it as far as Chines Customs Warehouse. Cases sit in customs for a month or so, and then will be placed in another warehouse until Guangzhou is ready to work on it, only then will the consulate "receive" the case. Timing 3-4 months NVC to Consulate.

Congratulations! Usually between 1-2 weeks for NVC to mail the completed case to the embassy.

Congratulations! Usually between 1-2 weeks for NVC to mail the completed case to the embassy.

Except for China, the case gets hung up in customs and storage before the consulate receives it.

How long does it usually take for the Consulate to receive the K-1 petition?

We normally receive K-1 visa petitions three months after they are sent out from the National Visa Center.

as you said k1 may be stuck at custom. my case is not k1 visa. it an CR1//IR1

so i don't know if that help speed the process not stuck as custom as well.

just hope to get interview in June or july then i will be happy

The VJ timelines are not as through as for K-1, so don't paint a very accurate picture.

if you ask NVC when they sent it out, then you can check the DHL website to find when it arrives but it will sit in customs.

I called a couple weeks later and they had sent it out a couple of weeks after receiving it.

use dhl reference to track

Example if NVC said they sent it March 30, type in DHl reference 'EXP 30 MARCH 2008B' and have date within this range and most likely your case in in that shipment. they are sending out cases daily from what I have noticed

How can know which DHL tracking number belong to our case?

Does NVC use the EMS ( or DHL ) label we put in the mail under the DS-230 ? I do not understand the label which we should put into the Mail to NVC with DS-230.

What does EXP means that n&W is talking?

Lucy, NVC will send to embassy using DHL you can track to when it receive at the warehouse in china

EMS is for guangzhou not NVC

that is a reference NVC use to send out
