Is asking god to bless the country you live in any different than asking him bless the food before you eat it? Some people find comfort in this sort of stuff, to each their own.

"God, Please Consider Blessing America" would be more polite, and acknowledge that there's a lot going on globally.

haha. Why do we constantly need to reassure the globe that we're thinking of them? Are they that insecure? :jest:

God? Is that you?!

Did someone call?

Why, yes. We were discussing the most polite way to request your blessing via bumper sticker. Any ideas?

A yesssss, silly little Earthlings. You know it already. You have all the answers inside of you.

There is a piece of me in all of you, making you all god. Take great care as this is a most important and powerful realization.

I'm not sure what I would want on a bumper sticker. Let me think about it. I am rather busy at the moment creating havoc with the weather.

I was rather thinking what the OP had in mind might be that we should just worry about being kind to others and we'll all be blessed, instead of waiting for ...ahem..."god"

Mars could need some work, for example.

He has finished it yet. He had the drains fitted, now he's just waiting for the plumbers to come back and turn on the water.

Geez! Waiting for plumbers can be a full-time job in itself!

Well God ALWAYS loves, but not always blesses. So I think the statement is asking for something that God can and cannot do. Like telling someone bless you, or asking for a blessing. Blessings are supposed to be asked for, while love is supposed to always be given by God.

Now if comparing the actions of people to the actions of God...then you'll have some difficulty understanding this statement.

Well God ALWAYS loves, but not always blesses.

That's not true. God loved Abel and hated Cain, for no good reason whatsoever.

Today, we use two words to describe God's love:

Lucky = God loves you

Unlucky = God hates you
