Salam to you all!! Inshallah you're all well! Sorry I've been kind of MIA lately - just felt tired- I know you all know what I mean - when you like don't even want to look at your credit card bill because it says "VISA" and that word just makes you shiver and get nauseous LOL

So here we are.. March 14, 2008 Friday.... I got the DS 230 Instruction Package in the mail yesterday and it went back out today over night to Portsmouth NH - I called them to ask a few small questions like - Do you want the case number on the top of the DS 230 form? Do you want it in ink or pencil on the original documents you asked for, etc. The girl got kinda snippy with me - I suppose she thought that I was asking stupid questions - oh well my father always said the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask.

The one interesting part is that the website they instruct you to (to download the forms and such) specifically says to send the original AND a photocopy - I can copy paste or direct if you don't know what I am talking about - and so I ask the girl on the phone at NVC do you want the photo copy paper clipped behind the original? And she says What? No do not send a photocopy - we say make a photocopy for yourself as your originals are not returned until his interview and/or if something is lost you have the copy of the same one you sent us. I said YES I know that - I've already done that, however the http://travel.state/gov. blah blah site says to send YOU the original AND a photocopy - she argues with me - no it does not - I tell her the address and point her to it and she still argues. Hmm Oh well. I did what the website says (I don't trust anyone and well what is the hurt of a copy paper clipped to the original ?? But the harm of not doing it and having them send me everything back for something stupid like that isn't worth the hassle)

 I'm tired of NVC reps screwing with me lol

So I asked her (as I always do ) what happens next? She said well we get this information from you - give us one - two weeks to review it and provided it is complete and correct and we do not need anything else from you, we will give your case a closing date. I said hmmm okay nice - thanks so much??? ####### lol - and she said After that we will schedule his interview from the NVC here in NH and all parties (me and him) are notified of the date of interview and all the information we have is forwarded to the embassy in Tunis.

Ya know that urge you get to start to get excited ... I felt it going in my tummy - then she squashes that by saying, "But there is no way to know what the lag time will be between your closing date and when we schedule the interview. I said WHAT? I mean come on if you close the case and you know that you have all the information, can't you just humor me and schedule it already? Give us some date to hope for, look forward to, etc.. She said well generally it does not take long maybe a week or two after we give you the closing date, but I can't say for sure how long it will take.

Blah - Thanks alot :) NOT! Buttheads :)

So I have this feeling like the end is near .. but I don't want to get my hopes up --- Hmmm... I haven't seen Jihed since July 13, 2007 and well that's just a really long time - (I know others have gone longer, and I do really really feel for you but this is my soap box so I'm complaining hehe)

I called him last night - ya know just to give him an update and tell him what was going on - we'd already done the DS 230 together and had it waiting for their "official request" so there was nothing for him to do but I just wanted to talk to him... I notice each time that we speak the time between speaking again grows longer and longer. He's going to Uni and working with his Dad so he's not coming on line much and when I call... I dunno.. the conversations are so odd, he says the same things over and over.. Inshallah habibati.. Inshallah.. We'll see, maybe we won't be alive tomorrow, let's pray and hope Allah will make it happen soon.... Yes it will take time Ashley, be patient... But I know him.. Like the back of my hand, we've been married almost one year, and together 2 years before that -I know this man so well - he's sooo depressed. I've never seen him like this before and it really upsets me, but what can I do ?

He started last night talking about - sometimes when he's alone, lonely and thinking he just starts to wonder if this is worth it.. He says I love you Ash, I have no doubts about that, wallahi, but this has been such a long road and we don't even know when it's going to end or when we'll be together again.. and I just .. I dunno.. I'm thinking alot honey...

####### does that mean? Ya know 3 minutes and he sends me into a total tizzy.. MEN!!! I'm sure he was just talking out loud but wow made me do a total 180 in my mood and I got upset, start crying, he apologizes hehehe... what a mess...

So just I dunno what my point is here? I probably don't have.. just blabbing..... What do you guys think about time? How much longer you think we'll be in this knowing where our case stands now?? And what do you do with your men? I mean when it's getting to be this long since you've been together and you can only say I miss you, I love you, I want you, I need you so many times -and you can only recount the times you've spent together and your memories so many times - and t here are only so many ways to ask how this other person is doing.. how is their family - before you almost have nothing to talk about because you're just at this stand still point in your lives where you can't start your lives together.... and you can't make new memories or topics of conversation because nothing is going on...

I dunno... hmmm ...

I hope that everyone is doing well and for those that sent messages to check on me, thank you so much!!

Mwah !!

I do understand and I feel for you. It is a nightmare this process and I feel out of touch, never knowing what is going on. I scam bait, to keep busying, and this way I can take all my angry out on my lads. It keeps me busy and is an outlet, and it keeps the scammers away from true victims because they’re too busy running around, thinking they are going to get millions. It is something I do to pass my time, but even that becomes hard sometimes; I just rather lay in bed and cry. Totally understand, hang in there, for this too shall pass.

eww men i just hate em . even tho their so nice and good hearted they still are a holes at a point. Did you get your senators involved? I got them involved and they inquired like 5-6 times when I asked I believe thats what helped things speed up. I sent them photos of me and my husband in our room with our family and just happy photos to proof the body language that our marriage was real or whatever and my senator helped. Just send everything and anything and all that extra. Those a holes USCIS they wasted a month asking me for money on the K3 when theyre not supose to charge you if you already filed an I-130 then they returned my money without apologizing and sent a letter to my bank explaining to give my money back. F#^#% USCIS !!! Nvc's been so nice to me so far. They actually seem more excited about my case approval than I am is that normal or what lol cool peoples
