Probably sitting in the waiting room now, head looking up every time he hears the beep of the # caller machine,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

They really need to get like a computer hook up in the lobby of the embassy for people to report to VJ as soon as their interview is complete :hehe:

Mark may be hearing impaired, but he listens better than most people I know. :thumbs: I think he's going to be eyeballing the big board, I know I did. Too bad those terminals don't allow you to access VJ (I tried). :crying: Can't wait to read his account of a successful experience.

It looks like I'm part of the gang at immigrate2us.net for the next few months. I got smacked down with a 221(g).

I will give my reviews and experience on my train ride back to Toronto.

First, allow me to build the suspense about my situation with a simple statement. My experience is not even *close* or comparable to other member's review/experience/story. But don't fret! it was a good interview although I would love the outcome to be different than what I got.

Guess I didn't have any Irish luck in me today (St. Patrick day).

Anyhoo, I really have to thank all of you for your support.

Mark I'm so sorry but I felt the same way when my father got the same notice and I mailed out his passport for his visa on Friday. Please don't run away to that other website or at least visit us often. I look forward to your review and rest assured we will do everything we can to get you approved. There are some very smart people on these boards (not me! :lol: ) and I know we can help. Thank you for letting us know so soon after what's got to be a terribly frustrating experience. :thumbs:
