Don't lie to the officer. Remember that your passport is linked to your application, so lying could get you in trouble.

I had zero problems when crossing through buffalo to visit my fiancee and I was coming down for three months. All i had to show was my return ticket.

Honesty is the best policy.

I'm sure it wi lgo well!! And there have been Vjer's that have been denied, and it was brought up at the interview and wasn't a problem,as long as ya tell the truth!!

I agree - I have been denied at the border before even applying for a K-1. I didn't show strong ties to Canada, had been staying with the boyf (at the time) a month at a time - but coming home every so often - and this was all before even knowing what a K-1 Visa was. I thought it would kill my chances at the visa, but it didn't. As long as you are honest during your interview and explain what happened. They know anyways - it's on their computer screen! My interviewer even said "It happens more often than you think". So take solace in that if anything does happen. :luv:

Cat -

Your response to the CO was HILARIOUS. Personally, I would have been sh*tting in my pants at this point b/c those ppl freak the ####### out of me, eventhough I have nothing to hide. I wish I would have had the guts to say something like that when I was stopped at the border.

Congrats on getting through!

Heh... Cat.. that was pretty good..

To you all.. the reason Cat was sucessful is because she answered the questions with such candor... People with something to hide wouldn't have answered that way. That's why the answers to the questions, how you answer them, and how you look while answering them are what is really important...

Well I'm here in NJ!

I got over the border no problem, they didn't even ask to see any of my paperwork I brought.

I told them honestly I was going to visit my fiance.

The nice man asked me when we were getting married. I told him we had filed for the K1 and we would be getting married shortly after that was issued to me.

He asked where I worked. I told him Lowe's.

He asked me when was the last time I was down, I told him October.

He asked when we filed, I told him December and then I told him where we were in the process.

He said "Hmm, you'll be here by summer! A nice summer wedding, how awesome!"

That was it and he sent me on my way.

My flight was all mixed up, there were major delays at LaGuardia, a few flights were cancelled but it ended up working out great, I landed 20 minutes later than I was originally suppose to.

This morning I woke up to pancakes and eggs from my man!!! :)

Life is good!

Happy Easter all!!!
