Hello everyone, :luv:

I think i need a break for thinking too much of the USCIS processing. I have spoke to a Customer Service last night, And here i came up for a topic to be discussed, which you can post your opinions..

I am opening this topic not to criticize but i wanted to know others opinions also if they are the same with mine..

My opinion, was that the customer service centers that we are calling," i dont think they all are based actually in US. " I believe some of the contact centers are based abroad, thats why sometimes when we call them we get to speak with those non-american accents.. And sometimes, we speak to nice person or to a rude one...

That's my opinion.. What do you think?

Thanks for sharing your opinions.. :luv:

What do you mean a non-american accent?? There are many American's that have accents from other countries. To work for USCIS I would say you'd have to be an American citizen, but that doesn't mean that's your birth country.

I have noticed, whenever I have visited the ASC in Atlanta, that the majority of people working there seem to have accents that obviously originated outside of the US. Still, every employee has to be an American citizen - one of the job requirements. I just thought it seemed to be a natural choice for people who had already gone through the immigration system themselves to want to work within the system. I don't know about the contracted out services though.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

hello carlawarla,

I am thinking, and in my opinion, that some of the contact centers of uscis (the customer service) are based abroad.. I dont mean those customer service who are presently living in US.. YES, when we call the hotline which is of course there is only one hotline for USCIS , we believe and we are thinking that what we are calling are really in US.. we are just connected to the hotline, but i believe that doesn't mean that the customer service we are talking to are really in soil of US.. im not saying all, Im REFERRING TO SOME... LIKE WHAT SQDNGUNS's SAID.. I believe thats true...

Being in a USCIS Customer service doesnt mean u are an american citizen , unless you are in US. . im referring to those contact centers based ABROAD.. :luv:

To the OP, haha yeah~I don't believe you hate America, otherwise there is no fun or enjoyment to living here for the rest of your life!! :dancing:

:ot2: I understand what you mean of "non-american accents", all of them MUST BE an American Citizen to work there. They just have strong accents that we might hardly hear or understand, and meanwhile, he/she can hear that we are not american born too, so some of them will be rude or harsh to us!! I hope I don't need to call them anymore and my case keeps going smoother!!
