:help:

We received our NOA1 on January, 23rd. Nothing since then. Our AOS office is Philadelphia and I've noticed in the forum statistics that there are aproximately 55 days between NOA and biometrics. It's not 55 days yet but, from what I have read, the appointment notice arrives about a month before. I am concerned because we chose two addresses on the I751, address and mailing address.

Also, supposing that whole processs is delayed for another year, can the I-551 stamp be applied in my passport even if it is expired?

Thanks for your time and thoughts! (F)

Well my wife's was a pain. We had filled back on October and after serveral phone calls to the 800 number and two visits to the local office (which did not help at all) we finally strike gold and spoke a great officer on the 800 number and the week after we finally got the bio appt. which was done today at the Atlanta Application Center.

Just keep trying and trying and call them and don't give up.. I know exactly how you feel it was a pain to just sit there and wait..

To you question about the I-551 stamp...no, they will not stamp an expired passport. My wife and I just went in for the stamp, which they did stamp, but only until the passport expires. My wifes Mexico passport expires in July 2008 and that I-551 stamp is only good until then. The guy told me once we re-new the passport we can just go back in and have the stamp re-applied.

Good luck, and hope this helps.

To know me, you have to read "Our Story" which started in Monterrey Mexico 5 years ago...

Thank you for replying.:thumbs: I need some more help from you.

First, how in the world can you get to a live person when calling the USCIS customer service phone number? The only options that I got were return to the main menu or hang up.

Second, for the infopass there seem to be for 4 kinds of appointments. None of them apply to my situation. Also, what center should I choose? The one closest to the physical address that I entered in the I751 or the one closest to the mailing address? We are talking about two cities 300 miles apart (same state).

Third, does the 1 year extension in NOA1 refers to the date on the conditional Green Card or the date of the NOA1?

Fourth, can one apply for citizenship during the removal of conditional residency?

Thanks a bunch! (L)

SAme thing happens to me. they cashed my check on feb 13th, i received a letter NOA1 the same week saying that i would get an appointment letter for EAD biometrics, but nothing yet... Also, they didn't mention AOS at all... i'm worried a little too.

Magandy, it looks like you are waiting for the conditional Green Card, I am waiting to get the permanent residence. The whole process is not a whole different. indeed.

I managed to make an appointment with an infopass for next week. I hope to be able to get some clues about the delay.

I still hope somebody can advise about how I can get to an agent on the phone.

There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to scheduling the Philly biometrics. Richard's NOA1 was dated 12/14/07 and the biometrics letter was received 1/11/08 for a date of 1/30/08 BUT others Philly filers who applied earlier didn't get hear/or get scheduled for biometrics until after we did. Keep the faith and

Well I'll add my name to the list of people USCIS has put on ICE. I have been waiting for almost three months and still waiting for a biometric appointment.
