First I want to state I love Igor's list... I use it everyday and more than once at that :D .

My question is does anyone know, or is there even a way to know approximately how many cases per month does USCIS have pending? Example Igor's list states there's about 50 December cases in CSC waiting on NOA2 ... any idea how many are there really (people who haven't joined VJ etc.) Just curious as to how many K1 cases does USCIS really have stored up. I have a feeling this really can't be answered with the data that USCIS publicly provides, but just figure I give it a shot :D.

I read somewhere, and I think it was regarding the increase in petitions in July and August of last year (2007).

Yjru stated during that time period they recieved 2.5 MILLION petitions total, which was 2 times as many as the previous year.

There was also a post somewhere on the board that showed the number for ALL petitions over the past uears by USCIS.

I believe they were PDF's on the USCIS website

Hmm interesting, thanks for the info. I just want to believe that if Igor's list shows only 2 cases got NOA2 on a given date that it doesn't necessarily mean CSC were sitting on their butts all day and maybe processed 20+ ohhh I so want to believe that :D

Here are stats for DHS

DHS STATS

These data are so interesting, thanks for the links b_weeks! It appears though, that even the pdf's put out by USCIS wont categorize petitions into any further detail than "I-130 immediate/all other", is that what you guys are seeing too?

The pdf says:

Jan 08: Major Receipt Volumes = 92,149 (for I-130 and others)

Jan 08: Major Volumes of Pending App's at end of Jan = 1,331,114 (for I-130 and others)

Anyone have an idea on how to translate that into how many total USCIS filers are also VJ members? We can determine how many VJ'ers filed each month, but I still don't know how to tell what the ratio is of VJ petitions to total petitions, for say I-130's or I-129's. Any ideas?

K1 TIMELINE:

01-24-2008 = Sent I-129F to CSC

06-02-2008 = NOA2 Hardcopy received; NVC received petition

06-04-2008 = NVC sent package to Costa Rica

06-10-2008 = Embassy received

09-20-2008 = Wedding!

AOS/EAD/AP TIMELINE:

10-15-2008 = Sent giant packet to Lockbox

10-22-2008 = NOA1's Issued

11-04-2008 = RFE on AOS only: need birth certificate, ORIGINAL was taken at interview. GRRR

11-24-2008 = Biometrics

12-22-2008 = Mailed RFE packet back

01-02-2009 = AOS processing resumed

REMOVING CONDITIONS TIMELINE:

02-18-2011 = Sent packet to CSC

The problem with the stats is that they don't differentiate between the various types of visas - work visas are included, and bunches of other things. This really makes it impossible to know what they are doing. I read somewhere today at VJ represented about 5% of K-1 visa applications - I have no way of knowing if this is correct or not. The adjudicators don't specialize in K-1's vs. other types of visa's, so it may really depend of the Other visas they are working through that determine the number of K-1 approvals we see here on VJ.

And So It Begins......

My Timeline:

15 Sep 2007 Engaged!

25 Jan 2008 Sent I-129F to CSC

28 Jan 2008 I-129F receipted at CSC

30 Jan 2008 Touched - filing box here we come....

05 Feb 2008 Hard Copy NOA1 Received in Mail

03 Jun 2008 NOA2

10 Sep 2008 Interview 9:30

16 Jan 2009 Fly back to the USA
