My spouse's K3 just left for Algeria and the woman said it will be there in 5 days....soooo do any fellow algerian petitioners who have gone thru the process or who are educated on the timeframes shed me some light? How long until the interview and stamp on the passport...I am not ready it's going waaaayy too fast! huge wedding, invitations, 1034234 relatives calling me from everywhere, school, work I have not even cleaned my closet or room out for his stuff. Do I have that much time!!!??? :help::o

I can't tell you about Algeria....

But, I definately say that it is time to start cleaning out your closet

Sarah,

It may still take some time for processing after the interview....But it isn't a bad idea to start making an agenda/calendar of the things that will be coming up.

Are you going to have a big wedding here in the states?

I think everyone who has been interviewed in Algiers had their visa in about ten days. It is a fast consulate and does not seem to involve the AP period that so many Consulates have. Some one will jump in and correct me if I am wrong.

I thought they were continuing with the CR1? If you want a little more time anyway you may want to wait for the CR1 as it will make life in the US that much easier. Can you do that? Either way, congrats on the progress!

They said they were going for Immigration but you know those damned USCIS representatives always answering questions they don't know anything about. After alot of confusion and sorting out they said I was actually lucky and sorry for the misunderstanding but he is going to go ahead and get the K3. I don't have the choice to wait for Immigration if I did I would take it gladly. I'm not ready for the marriage to be 100%. Thank god Algeria doesn't have the "AP" they trust their citizens a little more I guess not many migrate here.

There is no guarantee you will not have some sort of ap from one week to one month...He is immigrating to the US..Algeria trusting its citizens has nothing to do with our state department...He will be investigated his name check and field investigators sometimes do more checking using the security services of Algeria...
