Aloha all, I am another March filer.

I Sent I-130 package off on 3/26, arrived at Chicago lockbox on 3/30. My check cleared on 4/7.

I still haven't received any NOA's, although my check was cashed. I saw another thread where someone found their number off a copy of the back of their cashed check. I am looking at mine now, and it is very hard to see. Im not sure which number it will be.

I will try and look further into this, as well as wait and hope I do get a NOA1 hardcopy via snail mail.

PS-Can someone add me to the spreadsheet? Mahalo :)

**Aloha and Happy Friday!

We've added you to the list. Please be aware we only

follow the CR-1/IR-1 track. Be sure to add everyone

else to your friends list so we can stay abreast of

pertinent information.

Now, about your NOA-1, I would say you're overdue

to receive the hardcopy. The good thing is that they

did cash your check.

You should see WAC on the back followed by hard to

see numbers. Try changing the very last number to the

next highest digit.

That's what happened wth our case. The check cashed had

a "1" on the back, but the NOA-1 hardcopy was registered

with a "2". Sure enough, when I checked online with the 2,

our case showed up in the system.

Good luck and let's keep our spirits high!

BTW. you can see the updated spreadsheet here.

Regards,

Betty (and) Rey

I have another questions for those who are more knowledgeable than I am :)

If I submit I 129F for my husband, will my case be processed faster? Since I am looking at the uscis processing times and right now they are currently processing October 8th - K3 and August 19th - I 130 cases. Please advice.

Thank You.

Thank you very much BettYRey!! It seems that I am in the right place. Feel free to add me to your spreadsheet as a March 2008 filer Unfortunately, I'm going to mess up the curve  . I'm definitely concerned about not receiving my NOA1 in the mail. I did try to input the EACxxxxxxxxxx on the back of my cleared check, but no record is found on the online system. If I input the number and change the last digit by a factor of 1, records appear for receipt of March 26 and 28. My check cleared on the 27th. Did my application stick to the bottom of someone elses???

Anyway, before I ramble on too much, I started a new thread on this "receipt notification issue". Feel free to chime in.

**you're on the right track.

if you see a notice date by

changing the last case number

then more than likely that's your

NOA-1 date.

what happened in our case was

that they cashed the check, but

the WAC number on the back of

it ended with "1", but our physical

NOA-1 letter ended with "2".

sounds confusing, but it's a good

sign that they at least cashed the

funding.

keep a stiff upper lip!

Betty (Y/and) Rey

You can update me on the spreadsheet now...NOA1 = 3/26/2008

I called USCIS today and actually got a helpful officer on the line. I explained to him the "receipt number, plus one" thing from the back of my cleared check and he said it was probably a mistake. Then he tried to match the number to my personal information. Low and behold, it was confirmed as being my case...entered 3/26. I still haven't received a hardcopy of my receipt in the mail, but he said that there's a note to send it by May 22.

 That is the one billion dollar question these days.

Maybe you could compare the timelines for K-3 and IR1-CR1 for California and get a better idea.

Good thing with CSC is.. they are approving I-129F's for K-3 visas to begin with...

Best of luck.

Aloha, just and update on my ordeal.

I called USCIS today and got transferred from the first customer service rep to an actual officer. She was really cool. She pulled up my file, and confirmed the number on the back of my check (+1 digit) was in fact my receipt/case number.

So.....I sent package on 3/26, arrived 3/30, check cashed on 4/7.

The USCIS website says "On April 3, 2008, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE etc...."

So since I haven't received a hard copy, do I consider 4/3 or 4/7 my NOF1 date?

Whichever it may be, next time, can you update me on the spreadsheet? :)

I looked over all of my info, and have figured out why my NOF didnt come. On the I-130 and the G325A, under my address, I used my physical street address.

Where I live in Hawai'i, it is rural, and nobody around me has mail delivered to their physical addresses. We all use PO Boxes.

Anyhow, I used my physical address on the forms (which is what it asked for, in "street number").

I sent the package with a cover letter explicitly stating I have a physical address, and a mailing address.

Here in Hawai'i, when it comes to anything involved with government, utilities, bills, etc., we always need to use a physical address. We cannot say we live at PO Box so and so.......

Anyhow, I guess the person at USCIS didn't read the cover letter, or didn't/couldn't change the address on the forms. The officer on the phone did confirm my physical was the only address they had on file, so she suggested I go online and change it.

I just changed it online, and hopefully am on course now. :)

Ok, stupid question. How did you know you got a touch?

1. You called a phone number to get a status?

2. You checked online at the http://www.uscis.gov website?

3. You got an email notification from USCIS?

Thanks,

John

If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!

Hello, John,

Usually it means when you checked the Online Status on uscis website, the date indicated has changed to a more recent date.

I know most of us cheched that everyday, and it never change. :-)

Kirssi, what is your LAST update on the I-130? I mean, what day exactly?

Many of us that filed around your time, got touched between May 6 and May 8... Don't worry if you didn't get a touch, not sure it means much anyway... Perhaps it means that we'll be getting an RFE, and you didn't! ;-)
