PLEASE HELP,

Our interview is coming up..........can somebody here list us what are the documents needed and how do we arrange that in sequence. thanks a lot............

Hi!

Here are some list (actually its on the Interview)

1. Letter of Notification for Interview

2. Form I-693A

3. Form I-864

Documents needed to prove common residence (The most important requirement of common residence proof is that both names of husband and wife be on these documents listed below

AOS Journey

01/18/08 - Mailed AOS packet to Chi-town

02/05/08 - Received Notice for Biometrics

02/23/08 - Received Notice for Interview (AOS)

02/26/08 - Scheduled Biometrics Done!

03/11/08 - Received Notice of Approval (AP)

03/13/08 - Card production ordered (EAD) Gee! Thanks a lot!!

03/21/08 - Approval Notice sent (EAD) Yahoo!!

03/24/08 - Touched & received EAD card today!! Yipee!!

03/25/08 - Scheduled Interview (AOS) Approved! Thankful!!

03/26/08 - Notice mailed welcoming as new permanent resident

03/28/08 - Card production ordered!! Wow!!!

03/31/08 - Received welcome letter.. Nice!

04/04/08 - Received green card through mail! Truly great! Mahalo nui loa!!

Documents needed to prove common residence (The most important requirement of common residence proof is that both names of husband and wife be on these documents listed below

To continue.. ( I mean the following items you need to bring is on the Interview Notice) :)

Under #3 (Form I-864) Federal Income Tax & W2's or certified IRS printout (past 3 yrs)

A letter from your (sponsor's) employer

Pay stubs (past 2 months)

Sponsor's birth certificate, passport, driver's license, company ID

4. All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident Status

5. AOS, EAD & AP Notice

6. Passport (beneficiary)

7. Birth certificate (beneficiary)

8. Marriage Certificate

9. Supporting evidence of your relationship

- Tax Returns

- Bank Statements

- Insurance documents (car, life, health)

- Property documents (car, house, etc.)

- Rental agreements

- Utility bills

- Credit cards

- Contracts, leases

- Photos

- Correspondence and/or any other documents you feel may substantiate your relationship

10. Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application.

These are almost the same with the previous one..

Documents needed to prove common residence (The most important requirement of common residence proof is that both names of husband and wife must be on these documents listed below, i.e. "joint accounts")

1. Home contract copy; Rental copy; lease copy; or affidavit from person you are living with which explains the living arrangements.

2. Copies of utility bills; gas; electricity; phone; cable; etc.

3. Joint bank accounts (must be in both names)

4. Credit/Debit Cards (both names)

5. Insurances: Life insurance (submit a copy of policy showing beneficiaries

Auto insurance

Medical - submit copy of medical cards for each person

6. Photos: When you were dating/courtship period (3 each)

Marriage photos (3 each)

Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Holidays, family gatherings, vacation trips, etc.. (3 each)

7. Babies - Bring copies of birth certificates

8. Major purchase - new car, television, refrigerator, stove, household appliances, etc.

9. Driver's License (both must have same address to be any good)

10. Military Identification (if any)

11. Submit a one page letter describing how you met; how long you dated; or how long your lived together before getting married

(Note: Ensure you bring copies of these documents; not originals.. you can bring originals for verification in case)

Hope our upcoming interview will be a pleasant one. And of course be Approved!! ;)
