Which is why a mail-in primary will most likely have to be the case. Voters will have to judge for themselves which candidate better plays by the rules as a prelude to which of the two will better follow established procedures to represent them as President.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

The Republican race was not as close but it could have been - we certainly didn't know the candidate by Michigan. I just think it was a tactical error on the part of the DNC (and the states - but I assume there is some agreement between both parties on the issue) - the Republican solution punished the states, but made the votes that were cast meaningful.

There are disenfranchisement problems with a mail-in vote too - that's what I heard.

Why can they just not redo it?

this is what they need to do - quite costly, apparently

I'm sure - but I've heard there are no shortage of offers to help pay for it. Not least from the DNC.

Ahh... if the rules were that cut and dry to all...

Unfortunately, Hillary would turn up the whole representative democracy bit and that could backfire on Obama as the party's nominee, unfortunately. This is going to have to be a case where the party bites the bullet for the good of all. Or that will be the perception. Never mind that the states' democratic committees messed up big time and the voters lost out at the primaries.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

the rules seem pretty cut and dry in this case - Howard Dean has said that those delegates won't be seated.

which is why a do-over is needed

I'm afraid that will have to be. How embarrassing for all... I just hope voter memory will be intact when they remember how their states embarrassed them.

I am wondering if billiray is cozy up to Dean ( not bro Dean ) and asked him if they could do this. Maybe it is a twist of Billiary to steal it the nomiation. She is so power hungry. If she was in front of Obama, this would of not been a issue but now that she is getting her A$$ handed to her on a platter she is crying, I need those delagates. I want to be Pres. again :D

I think it is totaly unfair because they broke the rules and they are getting a second chance at the election. It is unfair to the states that followed the rules.

Maybe they should just deduct the delegates from the total that is needed to seal the deal... Only fair way. Fl. and Mi F$$KUP so why should they get a second chance.

Unfortunately there's the electorate you have to contend with and this is a party issue... not so much a candidate plate of hypocrisy.

Regardless of what she did or didn't do this was a monumental ** up by the DNC

Did they really want to disenfranchise MI and FL?

Michigan is not necessarily a reliably Dem state and FL certainly isn't

The DNC wasn't alone in the punishment game. As far as I know, Florida's and Michigan's GOP delegation is half what it should be because the primary took place early. So, they really fcuked up on both sides of the aisle.

Besids, if this was such a ** up, then the time to speak up would have been then. Not pledging what she pledged. That would have been leadership. One wonders: If she wasn't going to honor her word, then why give it to begin with? And if she won't honor her word to the DNC, will she honor her word to to American public if nominated and elected?

We all know that Hilary is nothing but a cheat and a liar. She would be nothing if it weren't for her husband who she obviously didn't divorce when she should have because he was her ticket to the big time. If only someone had let me know sooner.

What does that have to do with the matter discussed? Is deflection all you got?

They are both playing the politcal games and? I do think it's odd that the Democratic party allowed itself to get into this odd position though.
