Yeah, I'm weird. I don't even have to worry about it for months yet, but I'm starting to freak out about the medical exam.

Could someone share with me the details of a female exam? If you don't feel like posting could you pm me please?

Also, does anyone know if there would be any difference if you were pregnant?

Thanks.

i think it's just a blood test and a chest xray that you will not have if u r pregnant.

i will go in the next weeks in mtl. Also you can call the closest from where you live and ask them directly :)

Nope, it's more than that.

First a roll of questions by the doc, covering things from addiction to diseases, surgeries, etc.

Then the pokey place exam: touch here and there, a quick look at your privates (I know, explicit, but that's how mine went in Edmonton).

then off you go to get the blood work done. Don't forget to bring your vaccination records.

If you are pregnant, you cannot have X-rays taken, so don't worry about that.

Hi Emily,

If you are coming over to Vancouver to Dr. Morgan you can email them at Wokingmedical@telus.net, Laura there is very helpful.

Wow ! I had my Exam with Dr Morgan and she only asked some questions, the exam was basically looked at my stomach ( had stomach cancer and was very scarred up from that. felt my ankles for edema and that was it. Had an Eye Exam, got weighed, had chest exray & a small sample of blood taken.

It really was no big deal. I was scared I would be denied because of the previous cancer but wasn't. Don't worry! You'll do fine!

It's a typical full medical. Nothing crazy! It's not a full ob/gyn exam, if you know what I mean :)

Mine went about the same as how Len described it.
