Well, how would you know? Seems to me that you wouldn't know the truth if it hit you with a stick. Just because you and/or your SO are from a third world country quite obviously in the process of scamming one's way into the US doesn't make that so for everyone else.

Why not deport all Cubans? Canadians? Not ALL are her legally.

First, no one here is suggesting that all Mexicans be deported.

Second, most illegal immigrants are Mexican. That is why the debate is Mexico-centric.

August 26th -- interview date - we need to complete a I-601 waiver so it's back to waiting again

January 6, 2005 i-601 waiver approved!!!!

January 21, 2005 VISA IN HAND

February 12, 2005 WEDDING!!!!!

March 10, 2005 mailed AOS and EAD applications to Chicago

April 18, 2005 EAD and AOS receipt dates for NOA

June 30, 2005 AOS RFE evidence submitted (translated birth certificate)

August 10, 2005 ---EAD approved via infopass appointment

October 18, 2005 - AOS interview in St. Louis - received an RFE for vaccination supplement

February 9, 2006 - denial for AOS letter due to the wrong form being submitted from the doctor. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!!

February 16, 2006 - USCIS accepts the motion to reopen without an additional fee - finally something goes right! We should hear from USCIS St. Louis office within 2 weeks.

April 3, 2006 - Received welcome to America letter in the mail!

April 8, 2006 - Received GC in the mail - done for 2 years!!!!

March 1, 2008 - mailed off I-751

March 3, 2008 NSC delivery confirmation

March 10, 2008 NOA 1

March 28, 2008 Biometrics appointment

Legal Permanent Resident - just waiting for time to pass for him to have eligibility for citizenship.

I do feel for those who are honest and sincere people and for their SOs who do want to come here for real love and I hope they will be here soon.

Why not deport all Cubans? Canadians? Not ALL are her legally. People only talk about the US/Mexico border, but not the US/Canada border. People from other countries get smuggled in through Mexico as well, not just Mexicans.

What's up with your implications that not everyone's SO came for love?? :wacko:

Vanillabean I usually don't sink to personal attacks but for you I will make and exception. You are a @#$# idiot. First of all my SO would have rather had me move there with her. It's only my job is here is why we are doing this way. Second, my ancestors came here before there was even an America!!! I can trace my roots in this country to the 1600's. So until you learn to form an opinion please leave it to others to comment.

FYI.. my hubby just couldnt wait to get out of his third world country ... that why he cooked up this amazing scheme to hunt me down on the internet, make friends with me, got me to fall in love with him, proposed to me and married me JUST so he could escape the hell that he is living in his horrible horrible backwards country...

Medical scheduled for 4/10/06 - everything went great!!

5/2/06 - INTERVIEW - APPROVED !!

5/20/06 - Crash came home to NY for good!!

I agree!! this is NOT an immigration issue... it is an ILLEGAL immigration issue...

And I for one resent the fact that someone wants to lump me into the column LAZY AMERICAN...

I grew up on farms... and I have done my share. I also work 3 jobs to do what I need to do for my family... and to finish expenses for my mother's death.

I know of a few ILLEGAL mexican families here where the husband is working in any job for CASH... and the wife sits home with the babies... while the school-age children are at school. The husbands make MORE MONEY than I do in a week's time... and yet, this family still gets WIC, food stamps and help with their rent.

I believe that each human being born into this world has the right to pursue happiness, but not at the expense of someone else...

I pay into medicaid/medicare each week... but have never used it...

I think that the only way we will reach a better solution is if American Citizens utilize their voting abilities... become more AWARE of issues within their communities... their State... the country as a whole...

I don't mind someone coming to America... what I do mind is that they do it ILLEGALLY...

Do I have a solution? No... but, I do try to make myself aware of what is happening... to better form an opinion...

I do NOT believe that someone should be awarded citizenship rights when everything that they have done has been ILLEGALLY.

Just my opinion...
