What does this mean?

Chris said, "your case is processing, but it is back at the embassy now"

ME, "oh so it is processing at the embassy, not with you guys"

Chris said, "that's right"

ME, "okay thanks"

Chris, "no problem...GOOD LUCK"

So what does processing at the embassy means, is this like a security check somewhere other than DOS or something?

Chris does rock...he's the one i talked to today...hes very capable and has helped me alot in the past.

One of two things is happening. If name checks are completed then the embassy is processing your case for visa...if not..they may also request further checks, home checks and other checks... Good luck

It means that the Head Officer is reviewing the results and will give further instructions...

He may want additional papers (like in our case they asked for my husbands CV). Or he may just approve the number of checks and sent notice to come to the Embassy for the visa.

The great thing is you are finished with AP!!!

I found James to be lazy and informative.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Ya if you followed any of my posts, I too am in this limbo of almost getting there and then getting back into AP, last month i was told by chris and others that AP was done, my husband was called to submit his passport, then back in AP for name checks now because they expired during the interim, which happens a lot of times. basically the thing is the cases are always at the embassy, the had copy and files are always there, they wire it to dos so when they say its at the embassy, its always at the embassy, i heard the same canned answer from these people and it does not mean anything

its like asking is my case assigned an NVC case number? they will say yes it is

because you can look at many many posts where dos has informed its at the embassy and after calling the same day they say its at dos and then after i had this situation i called them and they said ya its always there it makes no difference

basically what you want to look for is that AP is complete. if this is done and no more AP is not issued, you are good to go.

I really wish for you that everything goes well, ask if AP is not and not where it is, it makes no difference so almost 95% of the cases.

I wish that this is the last AP for you and that you are issued visa, my prayers go out to all of us waiting.

Just my 2 cents....... I had many many conversations with pretty much all of the reps there when my husband was stuck in AP .... and the best rep I have to say was my girl Stephanie.... she was nice every single time and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS took the extra step (not too sure what she was looking at but apparently when they pull up your file they can see yes its done or no its not ..... but if you get a good rep there are notes or something that they can read and at least tell you what the heck is going on.... but the rep would have to actually take that extra step and click into another screen and as you all know that is obviously a very difficult task for most of the reps to do so they just push you off the phone with some snide BS answer..... oh boy hey do I have any pent up anger for the whole process???? ummm maybe I need a therapist to get over this ha
