Careful - if you express your displeasure for illegals, that makes you a Republican here on VeeJay.

Republicans have also let down the American people by doing very little to combat the issue of illegal immigration. To whom do these politicians pledge their allegiance to? Mexico or the United States of America. Then again the modern American politician seems to stand 'for the people' up until the point they are elected into office. Then the BS is forgotten and they go back to looking after their own ####. I am tired of listening to these types of politicians.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

So throw an IRS investigation into the guy. How does this smear Obama? I dunno but someone seems to think so.

Obama seems to have quite a few 'questionable friends' that his fan club is brushing aside as a 'smear campaign'. Some people need to stop treating politics like supporting a sporting team or their favorite American idol contestant. Where they blindly follow a candidate and refuse to listen to or accept any negative feedback about this person. It's not a game. Everyone's future, living standards, security, prosperity is at stake here. So yeah I am going to be the black sheep and dig into and question every candidate.

Good! That IS what I love about democracy... we have the right to do so. Maybe why Hillary should hurry up and release her tax records since that is what is being asked for instead of playing the accusatory tone she has doled out and about.

But besides the fact, none of this proves anything about Obama. Nothing. Perhaps more Republican influence on the Clinton camp? It wouldn't be surprising since they openly admit it and admire such tactics of division here. What does that tell you about what they are as politicians? Oh, wait, lets just look back at two terms of GWB.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I think they pledge alliegance to All Mighty Dollar. Repubs and Dems alike to be honest. Maybe that's why when someone at least talks a different talk people in the mainstream experience boat cry rhetoric without paying attention to the clues.

Yes of course. Like his wife complaining about her college debt to Princeton and Harvard. LMAO Most people would give a finger for that opportunity but she is crying about the fees.

Is the fiasco about the projects in Chicago also a tactic?

Rezko is on trial and not a word has been spilt about Obama. Funny how that goes. The courthouse is on the corner of Jackson and Dearborn downtown.

The country is also almost bankrupt while Canada, UK and AUS don't know where to store the surplus cash..

Canada and Australia maybe, but the UK???

The UK is running a current account deficit at 6% of GDP. It was 3.9% of GDP in 2006 and

2.5% of GDP in 2005.

GDP growth is also projected to be lower than previously expected: 1¾-2¼ per cent in 2008,

rising to 2¼-2¾ per cent in 2009 and to 2½-3 per cent in 2010.

UK households have overall indebtedness at 97% of GDP and 108% of total disposable incomes.

It's not good, believe me.

Most of the existing politicians need to be thrown out of office when they fail to deliver the goods. I have learned not to expect much since moving here. Especially from certain stereotypical inner city communities. For example, in DC they have voted in a guy, again and again, who has a range of drug and other legal issues. Marion Barry. But because of his skin color they keep him in and actually believe that the white man made this stuff up about him to take a brother down.. lol Idiots..

wrong!

Also Monday, Sen. Barack Obama's name again surfaced in the trial as Obama was mentioned in a memo about legislation that downsized the planning board in 2003. Rezko's lawyers sought to show that others besides Rezko were recommending candidates for the planning board, but the memo's reference to Obama focused solely on Obama's role in crafting the legislation.

CHICAGO — An e-mail message made public on Monday in the fraud trial of Antoin Rezko, a businessman and political contributor, brought attention to Senator Barack Obama’s role in discussions involving a state health planning board that Mr. Rezko is accused of improperly influencing.

The message indicated that Mr. Obama, now a Democratic presidential candidate, and other top Illinois politicians consulted in 2003 on legislation to keep the board, which approved the construction of health facilities, from expiring under sunset provisions in state law.

The vaguely worded message also seemed to raise the possibility that Mr. Obama, who at the time was chairman of the Illinois Senate’s health committee, had been involved in recommending candidates for the board.

They can work around that. First of all, I agree with Obama on toughening up on lobbyist. Actually lobbying privately should be illegal; As should be any kickbacks. If a group has a concern they should have to voice it in a a public arena.

Second of all, they need to make the management team of a company or business personally accountable. So if they pull an Enron or an Erin Brockovich they should have all of their assets seized and sold. If they hire illegal immigrants they should be personally fined and or jailed for repeat offenses. Hit them where is hurts the most, money and freedom; while allowing ethical and honest businesses to prosper.

Spilt about HIS direct involvement with Rezko and his breaking of the law. Fingers were itching though, weren't they Ms Dev?

Barack's so called 'tough' approach to lobbyists is laughable. His bill is fine as far as it goes (and maybe some people don't even want to go that far, but I would doubt it) but it doesn't go very far and it really will not produce the political change that he is promoting.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
