What are you talking about? Didn't you read what I put in the last two post. If he figured out the solution, there's no need to dig up the other posts. It'll lead to problem.

You know, he had doubts in what I told him. So he's smart for following up with posts to object to my posts. It's a good thing! Don't you see?

What ever!!!

You need to file I-131 for a Re-Entry permit. This will allow you to re-enter the USA without a passport. It's very important that you do get this green (re-entry) permit (a small book like a passport) .

Please explain how the above post is helping someone????? there is not one piece of correct info in that post...

Consolemaster clearly gave out wrong information and advice and now on top seems to enjoy he confusion he/she caused for the OP.

Isn't there something like a warning system here to protect members from people like this?

Thank you Kez for giving the correct info. I knew about the re-entry permit for longer stays outside the US but I didn't know the time limit. Now I know and that will help me in the future too, as I will life outside the US for an extended period of time (still waiting for my greencard, but at some point I will be in that situation.)

what the hell was that?

Scientists gets things wrong all the time. They always get advice, and peer reviews before their research are published. If I am wrong. I'm not hiding, and will continue to help.

If you have a problem with that, go some place else.

I have a problem with people giving out false information and getting a kick out of it and no, I sure won't go anywhere else, since this is still THE place to go to for questions and support regarding immigration. People like you just making itmore difficult to find the correct answers.

Thank you. Out.

What I understood that many people here don't even know how to communicate... none of us is the best specialist in immigration.. And if some person is wrong you should NOT call his advice or help as the most stupid or something like “you go against rules”, read guide more careful... I never saw it here when we applied for I-129F... all people were nice and supportive…. Saying “Don’t worry”… but I guess it is not in AOS section.... but here when I have a question or I have been advised by USCIS people differently people take it so aggressively... Please remember none of us a specialist!!! Everyone has his own experience.. some people tell me one thing, another people advice me differently.. but please remember that we here to help each other.. and if somebody has a different opinion nobody should take it personally.... ;)

Re-entry permit??? what are you talking about??? a re-entry permit is needed if you are going to be away of the country for more than 12 months! You dont need anything, a GC holder has the same travel privileges than a US Citizen, can come and go as he pleases as long as he doesnt leaves for a long period of time.

Please if you are not familiarized with an answer refrain from answering, I do know because I live in the border, family and friends leave and enter the country even twice a day. 1 thing is to be wrong another is to even try to answer when you don't have any idea about the subject.

LETS MOVE ON OK OK OK i kinda went bananas

This is an excellent point! Scientists make everyone believe they know the truth and then someone proves them wrong. We blindly believe what science says is the truth until sometime in the future another scientist comes up with a more believable answer and then we believe him blindly.

My point is that everyone should research every possible answer until they can find what they believe is correct and then wait to see if someone proves them wrong.
