Yes, I believe ALL beliefs are valid, FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO FOLLOW THEM. Judaism is valid for Jews, Islam is valid for Muslims, Jesus is valid for Christians...is there something incorrect there? I'm not telling anyone they have to find validity IN all of those religions. I'm saying they have to accept AND respect that others do.

And I find it annoying that you imply that I'm trying to tell people what to believe. Maybe it's the medium of the internet and not expressing myself the way I want to, but I don't think anywhere in what I said, did I say I expect anyone to believe as I do. And there is no need to be sarcastic A.S.

When you said, " think you have to accept that everyone's feelings and beliefs are just as valid.", I interpreted that as you telling others what they must believe.

My bad if that was not the case (F)

Personally, I don't want religion thrust upon me. For me, religion/spirituality is a personal choice, and a personal process. I won't force my beliefs upon you, and I expect the same courtesy in return.

As Karl Marx said: "Religion is the opiate of the masses." Unless I ask for some, I don't want your religion, your heroin, your cigarettes, your moonshine, your marijuana, your serial romance novels, your spam, or whatever else it is you're trying to convince me is the bestest thing ever and will change my life and shine my shoes and buy me a puppy.

Now, that being said, unless I'm asked and feel like sharing, I'll keep my personal supply of spifftastic propaganda to myself as well. If what you have works for you, more power to you, just leave me out of it in any way, shape, or form.

well, but that's because you agree with it. ;) I don't think any post is better than others in this thread, where everyone gets the chance to say what they do or do not believe. So if people can do that, it's cool, and not one person's opinion should be considered better than everyone elses. It's like if I posted that comment after another christian wrote something I liked...it'd be obvious I think it's best if I agree with it. But of course all over VJ, people always praise posts they agree with...I do it myself. And while I also write heart felt posts in religious topics, I don't get "thumbs up" very often because a lot of the time, people don't agree with me and may not like what I write. That shouldn't make my post or others less valuable just because we don't agree with everyone. Know what I mean?

I don't think that you have to go to church to be religious or beleive. In fact, part of me thinks churches are silly....they tell what and how to believe and I don't agree with that. I like the foundation, but then I like to form my own opinions.

I agree with this comment about churches. I actually prefer discussions with people of different beliefs than I have. While, I do not want someone preaching to me about what I should or should not believe, I do like hearing the perspective of others. They may have a point of view that I have never considered and I feel that ones beliefs change and grow over time.

Did you notice that the thread most cimilar to this is 'I-90 Info thread for Greencard errors'?

What does this supposed to mean? What algorythm the board uses to determine what's similar?
