lmao :D

I had a friend at school once called Jane, who would swear up and down that I was ungodly and would be going to hell if I did not immediately become Catholic. We once had a religious debate so torrid that the girl was reduced to tears - that was after she'd told another of my friends that SHE would be going to hell, picked the wrong day to do that because my friend burst into blubbers!

I told her I wouldn't be going to hell, that she was totally wrong and should be thoroughly ashamed of herself. Didn't put her off though. She kept going around being supercilious and smug until we all turned 18 and left. Haven't seen her since, thank goodness! :P

Yer all going to hell.

I ain't going. To go there, one would have to believe it's there to begin with. I don't so I ain't going.

You, my friend, get a VIP pass.

Sorry bro, but I ain't going. Don't know where the joint is and won't ask for directions either.

You won't have to.

I checked on the Unitarian church in my area and they seem very open minded and accepting. We may even go sometime soon!

Here are examples of their Sunday services:

February 12: “Heart Knowledge” The Hopi Indians have a tradition that contrasts “Head Knowledge” with “Heart Knowledge” - a tradition that respects the strengths of both ways of knowing. Service leader, Rev. Nancy Roemheld, Worship Associate, Julie Doyle.

February 26: “Evolution and Intelligent Design: Does God leave Fingerprints?” Physical science is currently being challenged by metaphysics in our nation’s courtrooms. How can these two fields inform the other and what do some people find threatening about that interaction? Peter J. Olandt is guest speaker from Starr King School for the Ministry. He has worked in biotech on the Human Genome Project and studied Galapagos Tortoise population genetics. His future plans include parish ministry with an emphasis on social justice and sustainable living. Lynn O’Keefe is lay leader.

Absolutely! there is a Baptist church behind the house we have bought in Alabama...and I have already said I am going!!! It's like the nearest social activity in miles.... :D

Ah yes, according to the legends (and the Doomsday Book, written exclusively to gather taxes form the poor in the 10th Century AD), you'll simply be sucked down into a big nasty hole and carried off by scary, ghostly beings, to spend the rest of eternity smashing your head repeatedly against a wall covered in spikes. Or similar.

Scared?

Virgins? Only those who've taken their own lives, or murderous virgins, surely! And only the Devil gets to mess with them, anyway. Young man, Hell is not about debauchary - that's what gets you in there in the first place! :D Hell is about paying for one's sins forever and ever. And since none of us are without sin, presumably unless we accept God's unconditional forgiveness before death, we're all going to meet our doom in the Underworld. Blah blah blah. I can be nice to people without the fear of "It's Hell for you if you're bad! Weh!" thing! :P

On a completely different note, I have managed to give myself third degree frostbite on the second toe of my left foot (yes, a small blood filled blister on the bottom and the top, having been tingly, is now just burnt looking and a-ok. Will have to keep an eye on the blister though...). And why? Because I was braving the cold to go and get my love something he needed. Aye...turning the other cheek is helll...:P

A gas station is Alabama is not nearly the same as a gas station in New Jersey. Often, the gas station in Alabama is the grocery, post office, drug store, deli, repair and tire shop and restaurant all-in-one. Some may even do hair-cuts while you wait on your oil change.

Four legs good, two legs bad.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I know a few Wiccans myself...however seemingly like anything organized, it does have it's fanatics as well.

As for sacrificing virgins to trees, there's always when you move to the US... :P
