Hello,

yes this is very normal. After you they are assigned NVC case numbers, (example, for my husband's CR-1 it is DHK for Dhaka) If you are mumbai, it will be the three letters pertaining to Mumbai consulate. So after this, you will get packet 4 (a copy to you and your brother and sister), which will include the interview date. As of now, you have to wait for NVC to send you those. You can call NVC any time and get the status of your case, you can get the status by using your NVC case number or live operator will tell you what is coming next and when. After the interview letter, NVC does not deal with the cases anymore, the you can call DOS (department of state) at their number, listed on VJ and on their website (www.state.gov) and you can learn ahead of time about the interview date, case status, and all your inquiries.

Best wishes,

Tammy

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.
