Just found on http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3183.html

"If family members have separate visa petitions, each family member must submit a signed I-864 from the petitioner/sponsor, the joint sponsor (if required) and I-864As as required. Each family member must also submit a complete set of any required supporting documents."

As I understand should be two separate I-184. Please let me know if I am wrong.

Thanks.

It is not an I-184, it is I-864. It wont hurt to provide two of them, one for each petition. In mother's I-864 you count her and child as immigrants, and on child's I-864 you can count mother as wife. Both I-864 will then show 3 persons on line 5, h.

My wife's I-130 and child's I-130 has been approved and forwarded to NVC. I am little bit confused.

Should I complete two separate I-184 for wife and child or just only one for both?

I think, two separate I-864 will be needed. It is not I-184.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

I submitted one for each of the boys as they had individual petitions. However only had to submit one support fee for both.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

That is a good point. WWW, find out, if you need to pay one fee only or two. I know, for parents only one fee is needed with separate I-864 (one for mother and 2nd one for father).

Do I Need to Submit a Separate Affidavit for Each Family Member?

You must submit a Form I-864 affidavit of support for each intending immigrant you are sponsoring. You may submit photocopies if you are sponsoring more than one intending immigrant listed on the same affidavit of support.Separate affidavits of support are required for intending immigrants for whom different Form I-130 family-based petitions were filed. For instance, if you are sponsoring both parents, each will need an original affidavit of support and accompanying documentation since you were required to submit separate Form I-130 visa petitions for each parent.

Often a spouse or minor children obtain visas or adjust status as dependents of a relative, based on the same visa petition. If you are sponsoring such dependents, you only need to provide a photocopy of the original Form I-864, as long as these dependents are immigrating at the same time as the principal immigrant or within six months of the time he or she immigrates to the United States. You do not need to provide copies of the supporting documents for each of the photocopied Forms I-864.
