Okay okay okay.

EDIT: (Spelled transferred wrong. My OCD reread it and had to post this. Hee, hee.)

So today had already been an extraordinary day. :D

Like I said, I got my IL driver's license (100%, no errors on the written), then I passed my motorcycle written as well.

I had news about an upcoming possibility of exciting work.

Something I have dreamt of doing for a long time. B)

And now, just for fun, I logged into the USCIS check status of your case, blah blah, and found this:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On March 12, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.

From what I have understood, this means no RFE and no interview.

Right? :help:

Pass go and collect $200.

Yippeeeee!!!

I got my SSN a while ago, easy breezy, and my DL was a complete fun blast today; and my biometrix (in the spirit of The Matrix) appointment is for this Saturday.

Well, I am on the fast track...or not, maybe just the normal track.

Me likey!

I sure hope you bought that lottery ticket! Congratulations! Yes, a transfer to California generally means an approval without an interview.

Congrats on the CSC transfer :)

But you will have to tell me, how the hell did you get your DL before you got your EAD here ???

I verified with the DMV few times and they kept telling me I needed EAD or GC to be able to pass my written test and I had to wait a loooong time!

congrats!!! Now dont forget to renew ur license when the time comes, lol I did and they almost made me start from square 1,which would have meant loosing my motorcycle endorsement, duh!! congrats

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Good for you!!!

Sweet Liz, I wish for you to have things go smoothly too.

We filed a day apart for our AOSs.

Good luck to you too for this Saturday.

It is nerve-wracking, isn't it.

:star:

you can still get an rfe..

Thanks Earmuffs for keeping me from getting (too) smug.

Damn it, I didn't buy that ticket.

The 13th is my favourite date anyways (after the 27th, ha!) and so today might be a good day too to do that.

Thanks for your well wishes Kathryn.

Congrats on the CSC transfer :)

I verified with the DMV few times and they kept telling me I needed EAD or GC to be able to pass my written test and I had to wait a loooong time!

I simply showed up a while ago and asked what they needed from me.

They basically said at the time I was missing only my SSN.

Yesterday they looked at:

my SSN

my passport for ID

my QC driver's license

and a letter (mail) with my home address

I went to this one: clickie.

Where the H did you go??

Buggers!

Sorry to hear you were given the run-around Mephys.

Bahaha!

(wipes laughter tears from eyes)

I am getting a visual.

Mmmmm...that movie was so seductive...everyone so sexy.

I would love to dress like that every day! B)

Have any of you seen Animatrix?

I highly highly highly recommend it.

There are some clips of it on YouTube.

Short stories done by various animation artists as to what The Matrix meant to them.

Mmmmmm, Ducati...I am getting ideas....

mwahahaha!!

Although "attack mode" is necessary sometimes, my approach with people is simply this: blast them with love and humour.

And the times this has not worked I am at a loss.

Bleh.

Yes, I read that story of yours Flames.

I will NEVER let it lapse.

It is good until April 2012!

:star:

Congratulations Spirit on your speedy notices! Also your DL's!! (F) Sorry I have to say, you may have passed "Go", but you won't be collecting $200.00 though!:lol:

Thanks Carlawarla!

Yup, it is more like "pass go and keep paying $200".

Ha!

:star:

Congrats!!!

Thanks Miss Stacey.

:star:

Congratulations Spirit! What a great day yesterday! I think it was going around :)

I saw your timeline.

Congrats to you too!!!

Yippeeeeeee!!!
