Approved K1 Petition Valid until March 19, 2008

Approval notice says the petition is valid from Nov. 20, 2007 to March 19, 2008. Visa interview was Feb 8, but no visa issued yet as of this day. What is the expiration intended for? 1) Does this mean the applicant should be able to apply/appear for interview before expiration, or 2) the visa be issued before the expiration of K1 petition?

Per FAQ on Fiance Visa...

"How much time is given to complete the K-1 visa application?

A K-1 petition is valid for six months from the date of its approval. But this may be revalidated by a consular officer provided that both parties are still legally free to marry. It is recommended to gather all the necessary documents for the visa interview appointment as soon as possible."

If the validity is applicable to item (1) then I am safe.

If the validity is applicable to item (2) and I have not received my visa yet, am I in trouble?

that has to do with the validity date of the NOA2 (approval notice) for the I-129f. Manila will routinely revalidate the NOA2 if it expires before the interview date. don't worry. you're ok :thumbs:
