I heard Trent Lott say...

1. He wants to look into price gouging by gas companies

2. He is "open" to a windfall tax on their profits

3. He wants to work with CUBA so the US can drill for oil in Cuban waters

And Senator Boxer said she is open to offshore drilling off the coast of Florida. I didn't expect that from her, either.

You know how those sleazy politicians are...they want the constituents to think they are doing something when they are really doing nothing to solve anything.

Drill in Florida? Babs Boxer is a Senator from California. I wonder why she is so eager to drill in Florida when California has rabidly defended its coastline from the drill bit? What a hypocrite!

Chevron bought Federal oil leases offshore in California years ago. They drilled, found oil, and set offshore oil production facilities...and the tree huggers in California refused to allow them to ship any oil from these facilities. They blocked it all the way.

I'm glad to know that California gasoline is among the most expensive in the USA. Serves them right!!!

Beaches in California get closed due to high fecal bacteria levels, but they don't want oil rigs to sully their view.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."
