oh my god oh my god!! I called my hubby right away when I receive this email today:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On March 12, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made.

Wooow really can't believe it...No touch in Feb and then got this news today!! Is it the Infopass of yesterday helped me? Does it imply I may not have an interview?! :whistle:

They said they sent a notice to explain this action. Did anyone get this notice before? What's the reasons they said?

I just wonder cause my case hasn't been touched over than a month, then now has a big movement the day after the Infopass!!! So coincidence!!! :innocent:

By the way, I don't think to have an interview is bad, to show all the relationship proofs with husband is a sweet thing though... :blush: We just don't want to drive 1.5 hrs to get there!!

Infopass had nothing to do with it.

Why does everybody think this is the golden calf? Is an interview bad or something?

I mean, we had one. The branding iron they used on my husband's backside didn't leave any permanent scars... :P

We drove three hours. And paid a hotel to stay overnight also.

Congrats on being transferred, from what I've read there's a really good chance you could skip the interview :). I'd much rather be transferred and be able to skip the interview, as would most people.... and my office is only an hour away.

I would definitely prefer an approval without the interview, I think its way better that way you dont have to get everything together for the interview and have that rush of whats going to happen and all that. Now I dont want to be stuck in a namecheck either, which you can get in both positions so yeah. But since the beginning of all this process I was hoping to get transfer and I did, so now I just hope for the best for me and everybody else.. Congratulations vivi and jim jim I know how you feel :dance: and nobody knows maybe the infopass did help????

I'm not bitter at all. I am however sarcastic.

All I'm saying is an interview won't kill you. Everybody used to go through it.

And at least if you are stuck in namecheck, you hear about it. Without an interview, you're just stuck wondering.

The infopass caused the touch. But the case would have already been in Cali.
