Didn't someone else recently get the same request to come sign the DS form? How did their case proceed after that? I can't remember who it was.

I dunno......I wish I didn't have financials due in a few hours 'cause I'd be running through every frikkin' post on this site to find out!!!:lol::lol:

bridget-- I don't know that they do the visa on the same day with as much traffic as these embassies have, and I don't know what teh k3/k1 visa looks like either though. The Cr1 is an actual page they insert with a ton of shiney laminate and picture and whatnot and is a pretty substantial thing.

(ETA I don't know why it would take more than a day of course other than a wait in line is all I am saying. So it's exciting if they take his passport! And either way you've heard SOMETHING.)

I'm debating on whether or not it would be better for him to arrive while the kids are with me or no. Here's my theory on the with option....if they're here and he first comes all of that wonder will be gone for them and they can be comfortable going to their dad's and not have to worry while they're there what is going to happen you know? Then when we're alone I can breath easy and just enjoy the alone time.

My oldest and her three friends have been chatting with him off and on so he knows all of their names. They've told him they're going to be the US eye for the Egyptian guy gang and make him look "cool" starting with his hair and wardrobe, including all slang that is cool, though cool for a man his age.:lol:

My 10 yr old has a few easy reading books all set and ready to go along with her money book from kindergarden since she's in charge of teaching him how to make change, since they don't have metal change over there. lol.

They've both developed a menu for his first full day chock full of american foods that they don't think he's had, like guacomole, sushi, nachos and salsa, cheese sticks, Dibs (the ice cream things), etc.

maybe I just answered my own question. lol
