surgery went well. she was so excited the surgeon said she could have a milkshake tonight. will add a better update tomorrow when I get up. I'm so freaking tired!

Very good news! How's she doing this morning?

She is doing well. The surgeon said there were no perforations on her esophagus so she will probably be able to get out of the hospital tonight as long as she is able to pee on her own. He was only able to put half of a flap in to her esophagus to keep the acid from coming up because she didn't have enough extra stomach to use. She's pretty sore because of the incisions into her abdomen but they're very tiny. Three of them are 5mm and two are just shy of 1cm. It's kinda funny (mean I know) to see her trying to sit up because it hurts to use her ab muscles and she can't use her arms because she still isn't supposed to use her pecks because of her breast implants she had done a few months ago.

Last night she was able to drink 2 powerades and a large milkshake. She was still pretty out of it but very happy to be drinking and not having to throw up.

The surgeon said that this is his favorite surgery because the person gets instant gratification since they're able to drink things normally again as soon as they wake up.

I hope she's not hurting too much. The fact that she can't move her arms is pretty crazy too. Hope she has a fast recovery

She does. She has like 40 pounds to gain back. I wasn't being snarky, I was saying on the plus side, she gets to have all this yummy food and not worry about gaining weight, cuz she needs to anyway. yayyyy
