I never heard of donor milk when I was working there, but I wouldn't want another womans milk in my child anyway.

I find this quite amusing....People don't want another HUMAN'S milk, but will happily give their baby an ANIMAL'S milk?

Bc theres a big difference between..." ok son, dont worry, tommys moms milk is real good" as opposed to " one of those cows out there just fed you"

I would think part of the security one would feel about using the cow's milk as opposed to another human's milk is that the cows's milk has been through screening and processing. If human milk is obtained through the National Milk Bank, it is also subjected to rigorous screening, tests, etc. I would not, however, feel at all comfortable with another woman actually nursing my son, regardless of my own milk supply or the availability of substitues like animal milk or formula.

But I can understand the hesitance to give one's child another woman's milk. It would feel like an invasion of prvacy to me. Nevertheless, Im in the process of becoming a donator to the NMB. Ive got more than my son needs, and someone else may need it for their child and feel differently about accepting it than I would.
