Help!! Any advice?

So my husband and I filed AOS July 13, 2007.

Filing also included his two children.

Biometrics were taken in August.

His EAD came in Sept.

Interview notice: Nov 17.

The children's EAD's came in December.

Interview scheduled for Jan 23.

At the interview, it was found there was a problem with his divorce certificate. Our officer stated she would schedule us for a second interview in order to be able to provide the necessary information. Other than that, she seemed fairly pleased with the interview. We left feeling positive.

...

No notice, no interview scheduled, no touch on any of the applications.

His oldest child is preparing to enter college in the fall, and has applied for several prestigious scholarships. She is now in the running for 2 VERY ELITE scholarships, but both require her to be a permanent resident. Is there any way to provide proof of this in order to speed up the next interview?

Should we contact our state representatives and/or use a lawyer?

Also, does anyone know if AOS beneficiary dependents are required for a separate interview, or do they automatically become approved once the principal filer is approved?

Thanks so much! We would love to see her advance with these scholarships if at all possible, (besides move the case forward for us as well! )
