I have a question reguarding a new passport: I got married in December of 07(living in the US),can anybody tell me what I need to do to get a name change for a new UK passport?

And also: When you need a new passport do you have to turn up at the embassy in Person?

I am a dual Citizen and I know for a new German passport I have to turn up at the embassy in Person (the nearest one is 10 hours away from me)

So I was thiniking if I dont have to turn up in Person for a new British passport I would only renew this one.

Would really appriciate some help :)

I know for a Jamaican passport, there are 3 embassies in the US. I have to send Andre's stuff to D.C. I found the information online. I do know D.C. has a Canadian embassy cause I saw it.

Can you look up the Canadian embassies and see what they say about passport renewal?

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I believe the embassy or consulate will handle it by mail.

It is not necessary for British Nationals/Citizens living or working in the US to register with the Embassy or their local Consulate General.

British passports are issued by the British Embassy in Washington D.C.

Completed applications should be sent, or brought in, to the Passport Office at the address below:

Passport Office

British Embassy

19 Observatory Circle, NW

Washington, DC 20008

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

The German embassy wants you to go there in Person, but that would mean for me to fly there. Thats just stupid,it would cost me more money and nurvs to renew that.

I might just get a new British one and have done with it.

Each country has but one Embassy (typically located in the host nations federal capital) and in addition could have a series of consulates offices located in other major cities....

YMMV
